How you say the year is exactly the culture war Sunak wants you all to focus on. I'll never understand the US style election system the English have adopted - third of councils elected (something like the Senate) and these PCCs (elect your local sheriff) who never get accountability related to their job for anything as far as I can see. Ah well, another couple of days of this coverage to go. -

I mean, when he was PM, he took so many holidays you couldn't have prised his passport out of his chubby little hands. Man's a lunatic, always was. -

Didn't they know who he was? Maybe he brought his ID in Greek, or tried to use his Peppa Pig World loyalty card. -
Well, it's been busy since! I knew that quiet Sunday was an omen!

Missed the party pooper bonus by one day.

One of the great players when I was growing up. Surely he's a DDP'er?

Listening to John Swinney who announces he is running for leader of the SNP. Modesty and humility are not his strong points. We'll see if Kate Forbes fancies her chances. -
Scottish entertainer Christian aka Chris McClure, reportedly dead: https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/12584611/christian-chris-mcclure-dead-scotland-singer-music/ Performed on the 1982 Scotland single We Have A Dream but more of a Scottish rather than national figure. Look at all these pished folk representing our country in stereotypical style:

Thought I'd have a swatch. Jim Horn's credits are nothing short of astonishing. Very possible he would QO and if he didn't, there would be no justice. I'm flabbergasted I didn't know half of his stuff.

Contrary to belief and Wiki, turns out Michael Buerk was born in Canada, not Solihull: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13372821/EDEN-CONFIDENTIAL-Moral-maze-BBCs-Michael-Buerk-new-passport.html

Those of us who lived through it - well you picked a side. He had plenty of supporters, believe me. I thought he was the most disgusting cockwomble ever - and there were plenty of contenders for that title during the Thatcher/Major years. I see Sara Keays still lives, though quiet for quite a while now. -

I think Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne are the surviving Travelling Wilburys, but I have had a day out on the sauce and can't be bothered checking.
-
Especially as I was going for a clean sheet! Which may still happen now.

Why can't these fuckers die when I pick them?
-
Duane Eddy reportedly died 30 April, so looks like I have a sub in play. Bloody typical. Also, RIP.
-
God damn - Looks like a sub for me to take his place. Still, a legend as far as as I'm concerned and a terrible loss to us. RIP.

Sad news. Was it today? Asking for a Windy City friend.
