Aha! Already did that with the Poker Tourney! It will be PM'ed to one lucky entrant once they have submitted a team, so it has already been thought of, but you have just made me make that clear. Well, I'm going down the route of a theme team that never was, so it's unlikely anyone else's teams will interfere with mine, and very very unlikely anyone will want any of my picks.

Now I'm going to enter, and it is incumbent upon me to post a team in the thread. So don't post or PM entries until I have done that, probably in the first week of December. That avoids any accusation that I'm stealing players' picks. I'd like to do it the same way as I did for the Poker Tourney however, just so that you don't steal mine (although why you would want to with my track record I don't know!!!!). Obviously I'll have a ton of subs in case I lose any of my main picks before the competition opens. Anyway, hope that is ok....

Right Listers, listen up. It's just over 5 weeks to the end of the year, and I know you are all looking forward to collecting those big points next month with your current survivors. And of course I wish you and me all the best for that! But as you might be aware, December is the month when you have to prepare about 3 dozen lists for 2018, with your finger hovered over the send button at 23:59 on Hogmanay. So here is your fair warning: get those lists together for those who you think will survive most of, but not all, of 2018. You know you want to win a small donation to charidee at the end of the year. I'd also like to propose a rule change that no late entries be accepted. You have fair warning with this post, and I see no good reason why this pool is an exception to every single other pool. Now obviously I don't expect a flood of entries now...just have a good think and join in the fun. I'll issue timely reminders towards the end of the year while still trying to run this damn thing. I'd just like to say it's been a honour to host this and have enjoyed it tremendously, especially as most picks are famous enough for me to pick up on quite quickly. Cheers, YW.

I don't dislike you, it doesn't help your cause that you have a hate figure as your name. I have positively liked some of your posts, but not everyone who sits in the House of Lords is a politician, and there is a hastiness to your posts. First: It gets attention focused on Trump again. Good or bad, he wants to be the centre (or in his case, the center) of attention. Second: To equate the various degrees of molestation (however abhorrent) again falls into the hands of polarising the whole deal and again divisiveness (between Dems and Reps, men and women, black and white, yada yada yada) is meat and drink to the Pres. Snogging a grown up without her consent isn't nice, but when did she believe it was time to complain about it? Adults often regret what they do, but they are in a position to take it further. Even without witnesses, if she complained about it at the time, even to colleagues, it could have led to further action being taken. But hey, why not wait 11 years and the jump on the bandwagon? Franken's actions do not appear afaik to be a course of conduct, but focused on this one individual, to whom he should and has apologised. On the other hand, 14 year olds are vulnerable young people generally and are entitled to take action later especially when it becomes clear that they were not alone in receiving the attentions of a grown man nearly twice their age. There is the possibility of molestation or statutory rape here, possibly with the collusion (hey, there's that word again) of the mothers, who the teenagers would be likely to want to protect. They are not equivalent in any way. Trump has chosen again wrongly and bigly.
