I'm definitely picking someone who no-one else will pick. And they won't die. For that is my way.

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
YoungWillz replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well, OldWillz is off to my brother's sister-in-law's and my other brother (the nice one) invited me over to spend the day with his family. Declined. I love being on my own and it's a holiday for me from all. I do love Christmas dinner. Haven't had one in years though. -
Possibly Cartoon Caval-Deid?

Whilst I'm in no particular rush, I wonder if TMIB could give us an idea of when entries can be submitted for 2017. No presh, but I see we are about to enter that time of year. No doubt some indication of any major changes to the rules would be appreciated too. Keep taking the tablets for your stress levels!

Just seen her on the BBC News Channel. Sounds rough but still content to be an exhibit in the zoo for the media.

Not any more - he's dead. http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/daddy-cool-guitarist-ross-hannaford-dies-20160308-gndj6t.html Another gcreptile unique if and when there's a QO. Third Hit in eight days for the B-Team. Let's see if an "australian guitar legend" (Wikipedia) gets an obit, especially it the Guardian focuses more and more in Australia. I was very surprised that he was a unique pick, since it was a suggestion by DDT. No F'n way that obits. I have tremendous doubts Ray Columbus will obit much less a no name from a no name band from down under. I'll send a can of coffee to the charity of gcr's choice if he obits. SirC Ray Columbus is dead aged 74. http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/national/319209/nz-pop-pioneer-ray-columbus-dies She's A Mod (#1 Aus): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8spRyPGSpds

Joey, I have read the rules carefully several times and I still don't understand what this game is about. Does each contestant select one single celebrity they think will die before Christmas? And the game ends when the first one of them dies? And what exactly does a "Death Slam Form Guide" mean in the context of the game? Is it mandatory to choose between the various names in said guide? The rules don't mention the guides? I will probably not enter either way (I usually prefer to limit my deathpooling to just DDP, and maybe 1-2 additional) but I am still curious to know so I can feel less stupid. Hi.1) Yes, you only select one celebrity. In the event that the celebrity you pick get taken or dies, you can select another one 2) It ends when the first celebrity dies, OR in the unlikely event that no one dies before Christmas Day 3) A Death Slam Form Guide is a guide that people can look at in case they are too lazy to research 4) No, you don't have to choose a celebrity from the Death Slam Form Guide 5) It's not a rule to put one down, but it could be helpful to people who does plan on playing Anymore questions? One question which may not have been asked on this forum before: Why, why why, Delilah?

Theresa May looking (all at the same time) uncomfortable, bored, insincere, frustrated and needing the toilet at press conference with Polish leader. And wtf is she wearing? -
So, How's Your 2017 Shortlist Looking?
YoungWillz replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Main team just about sorted. Comedy theme needs a revamp - if Zara Nutley can't obit, well, I'm just speechless. Not started on my 1981 Music stars. Once we are in December, I'll trawl through my list looking for possibles. I still feel there are a couple of strong contenders from 1980 who might drop soon, but who don't qualify for 1981 and I may promote them to my main team. -

A fine actor. He's the villain in the greatest episode of The Twilight Zone (imo), The Obsolete Man, opposite Burgess Meredith. He's also an acclaimed actor in the Frasier episode where Frasier and Niles pretend to their posh friends that they watched a play despite not having tickets to it, and wind up having to discuss said play with the star. A quick glance over imdb shows he was also the corrupt Senator in an X-Files episode, the evil Doctor in the Tales from the Dark Side episode In the Closet, and appeared in one of the few Tales of the Unexpected episodes I haven't seen. One of those dependable character actors. Marathon Man and Creepshow are standout memories for me, though I'd definitely have seen him in The Love Boat. RIP.

So is aging. Aging: n., sl. - a red haired person. I may have just made that up, of course.

Oh I don't know. He is a world leader. We've lost two of the Castro brothers this year. Possible talking points include the new relationship with a Republican President, move towards democracy, the "will they won't they try to assassinate him" if he doesn't play ball, will he be pushed towards a closer relationship with Putin, etc. Interesting times for Cuba ahead.

What a pathetic thread reboot Exciting, isn't it though? Not meant to be answered. Yeah, he could have gone in box sets, sitcoms, etc etc etc. It's here and elsewhere and nothing to stop you updating the relevant threads. Be constructive, be positive, huzzah for the tapestry that is this forum.
