I saw this news earlier and I was sure Sir C had started a thread for notable firsts. When I got to page 22 of the forum, I gave up looking for it, and my will to post went with it. Maybe Sir C could remember...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3775013/TVs-Wyatt-Earp-Hugh-OBrian-died-91.html Best to post obits in the thread of death as they will be included in the round up here anyway, unless they're on the list of the lost. Good work though.

Ah don't worry about it, it's an idea to have a look at the threads and the recent posts before you post, unless you are sure you are the first. Normally editing your post with "argh, already posted" or something along those lines gives us a chuckle too. Welcome, you'll get used to it quickly.

Bored and up early (or late). So I came across this obituary notice for a Gladys Sangster from last year (2015): http://announce.jpress.co.uk/banbury-guardian-&-review/obituary/gladys-sangster/42831852 Now I'd frankly be amazed if there were two people named the same both aged 97 and living in Banbury at the same time. However, with due respect, I cannot tie the news stories to the obituary. It's likely the same dear lady, I'm afraid.

Goodnight Sweetheart remake verdict - just as charming as the original. Except for the bigamy. Still just a tad...wrong. Possibly the best so far, but I'll not be watching the Keeping Up Appearances prequel, just not my thing.
