Listening to Badenoch in the House. What's the betting she ends up doing an Amber Rudd and has to go for misleading the Commons? I mean, this is the woman who is supposed to have hacked Harriet Harman's phone or computer or some such device and got away with it. Somebody somewhere is either leaking truths about her or wants her ambitions stopped. Imo. -

No such guidance when I was at school, ha! I do remember the furore over calculators though. They were not to be used in school or indeed in exams. A few years after I departed the school system, it was very much, yeah, go ahead, use those calculators! Smartphones are a terrible distraction I feel, personally. Imagine at your workplace if you were staring at Twitter or the tickety toks all day. There's got to be some way of allowing use between school and home and maybe over lunchtime. If it's showing kids how to behave in a work environment, that's the way to go. I wonder what the rules are in Scotland, given we have our own system? -

Don't think I asked for Scotland to have special powers. Labour's issue and therefore Starmer's issue has always been delivering for those areas which used to vote Labour without question. The boot in the bawbags that Labour took in 2019 seems to have been disregarded in that respect - after all, they have been repeatedly kicked in their soft parts for years in Scotland. @Sod's Law is right. Been calling for federalism for years, jeez it used to be a stand point of the Liberals. Starmer's Labour Party will not win in Scottish Parliamentary elections unless it wins in England and shows it can deliver real change. Anyway, I'd quite like to give Labour Party a kicking on here, bit boring kicking the Tories forever. Starmer can deliver that at least.

I was scrolling through the Ls, thought "that name rings a faint bell" checked and found she was dead.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Think we are at cross-purposes and in agreement. The whole treating gay men or indeed the community as one homogenous group is as bad as the old anti-Semitism or saying all women are whatever, or all people on boats are illegal immigrants. Haines and your guy - well they still exist in some form or another. Even the whole Rangers/Celtic thing. I'd like to see more diminishing that sort of person, than taking away the right of adults to decide whether to smoke or not. *sparks up another ciggie* -
Under the Ls, Lis Lundkvist-Husberg died in June 2022 according to Wiki: https://sv-m-wikipedia-org.translate.goog/wiki/Lis_Husberg?_x_tr_sl=sv&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc Using Google not great for that team.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

The conduct of Mercury's private life was not in my ball park. In fact, even today, some folks within the community conduct their private lives in a manner that would make your hair stand on end. But then so do some heterosexuals, including some politicians and journalists we all know about. Haines' massive generalisation to extrapolate that to the whole community was astonishing. Let's not forget, that article was in The Mirror for gawds' sakes. A disgusting journalist who should probably have been jailed or at least had the arse sued out of him. And yet he lives. -

Not a lot of laughs as usual as he speaks in Glasgow. Looks like he's woken up to idea of a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine. Took him long enough. Unfortunately he's congratulated Sarwar and Baillie for their tremendous leadership in Scotland. They are possibly two of the worst performers I have ever seen, still dug in to their belief that Labour have the divine right to seats in Scotland. If anything, if the rest of the country votes Labour, Scotland needs somebody else. What he doesn't understand is that Scotland doesn't need yesmen to London run Labour. We all remember how Labour First Ministers said yes to policies designed for Middle England being imposed on Scotland. Labour if it needs Scotland might get it by default. But what it needs to do imo is to have a design for Scotland different from the needs of Milton Keynes, Manchester or Swansea. And that means breaking from his idiotic clinging to a Union idea that what is best for those places is best for Scotland. Welcome to Glesca, how long will he spend here in Scotland? Bet he's out of the country in hours.

What's incredible is that despite the many recent deaths from Helix (huge turnover of personnel) this is the first mention on the Forum of the Canadian band that reached the toppermost of the UK charts...wait, #91 with Heavy Metal Love.

Jesus. I haven't seen play like that since my schooldays in Glasgow! Of course, the Glasgow games make that look tame. Lawdy.
