Want to be careful of uncorroborated tweets as absolute confirmation. There are Facebook posts from her family if you want to go looking. The lady who tweeted it is verified, I don't particularly see why she'd risk tweeting false information. I shouldn't have to look (I left FB ages ago). If there are family posts from FB, that is what should be posted on here because that is more solid information than from someone who isn't related or doesn't run for example a Prisoner Cell Block H fansite. Just some friendly advice, I'm not saying she isn't dead, but we can all get caught out. And if it's backed up by a subsequent obituary or news story, please post that as well.

3 teams pot their Joker early with Jimmy Snuka's demise, including yours truly. We now have 14 scoring teams by mid-January out of 24 teams. And there is a huge amount of the year to go. Next leaderboard at the end of the month or when someone gets five hits, whichever is sooner.

Surely there's a precedent for someone dying before closing entries? I seriously doubt anyone is going to end up with zero this year. Anyhow, it is up you The Dead Cow, I don't think you actively want to discourage entries by say imposing a points penalty on those entering now so Adding a name is a possible solution. Meantime Snuka was on my list of guaranteed exits, so I was never picking him.

50? !!!!!!!!!!! Even in the DDP we are only allowed 20 out of the whole world! Ha ha. It seems an awful lot of names to keep track of, as I think Shaun found out in his Death By Numbers game. Maybe next time, but another 50 names for me to keep track of with all the other competitions is too much for me at this stage. Good luck with it though, it's a good idea.

I'd certainly welcome a bar on executions being made Jokers if they are allowed at all. To get a third of the way to a title with a guaranteed death...well...I'm bamboozled. But if we all know what we're getting into at the start, the rules are clear and it's MPFC's game to set the rules. The more agreement and much nodding contributes to a greater entry pool. I stuck with my team and I'm not complaining. I'm just interested to see if I can get a higher score than last year. Finishing on zero at the announcement of a champ doesn't bother me at all. Orrabest, as we say...

Yeah, I don't like having the leaderboard way back at the start of thread, I must admit. That's my only niggle with Deathrace, a fine competition run by an excellent runner. Why have a post saying you are updating the leaderboard? It's an extra click. Here's a post, it's the leaderboard, have a look is my preferred option.
