I'm always surprised by how few of these British actors I've ever heard of. But then I don't think any of those shows these obscure actors played in ever were successful outside of Britain... except for the American remakes. It's a bit sad, actually.

I'm not so sure that the protesters voted. Look at the Brexit. Who didn't vote? The young people. If more them had voted there wouldn't be a Brexit. And now they are constantly whining. That's why I prefer the system we have over here. Everyone over 18 and under 65 is required to vote. Yep, we have a mandatory voting system, and that is good. Since everyone has an opinion it's just right that they express it.

I only know one song from Tom Waitst one point il aired all the time on HH1 Classics. Didn't like his voice.

Religion always seems to bring out the worst in people. The more religious the people the more hateful they are, strangely enough. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Tolerance and stuff?

Oh, absolutely he didn't have a great singing voice! nor did he have any such pretensions. But his words were genius, combined with deceptively simple, often haunting tunes, and his delivery suited them perfectly. Yeah, I noticed that quite often people who can't sing well get famous for their texts. I absolutely love French singer Renaud Séchan. Although he doesn't have the best singing voice his texts are brilliant.

It wasn't my intention to insult or upset any of his fans, and you're probably right that I shouldn't judge him for only one song, but I simply think that he doesn't have a great singing voice. I'll listen to some more of his songs and maybe I'll change my opinion.

Same here. Honestly, the only song I've known him for is Hallelujah. Was he really that influential? To me the worst death in music ever still is and forever will be... Freddie Mercury. That man was a God and there will never be another one like him. Cohen will probably be forgotten very soon.
