She has a baby, then goes back in the Tardis and drops it off.

Look, I'm all for wibbley wobbley timey wimey stuff, but it's physically impossible for someone to give birth to themselves, even in a paradoxical sense I'd think. She can't have a baby that is herself. The fact we've got to such absurd suggestions means RTD has done his job, though!

And, with the greatest of respect, how the fuck would that work?! Clone?

26 minutes ago, Sod's Law said:Maybe she started out as a lab experiment herself which is why she has no next of kin, and Twist and Dobson are basically scientists monitoring her in the background. Or her whole life is part of some Truman Show-esque delusion with Twist and Dobson as the director and producer of a TV show about Ruby (her very first appearance in the show is her being filmed for a TV show with Davina McCall, after all). Or it could be both.
Or neither.

I'm sure we got told she'd reappear at later points. We haven't yet gone back to Ruby's home though, so there's time. So we've got:
1. Who's Mrs Flood?
2. Who's Susan Twist?
3. Who's Ruby's mum?
4. Why does it snow everywhere she goes?
5. What is it about Ruby and babies/children?
Have I missed anything?

Yes, but Dido > Adele. There. I said it.

Someone's been paying attention. Correct. My own poor attempt to create an apt and witty pseudonym based on something I like.

My brother has a dog called Luna, a border collie-labrador cross. They previously had a German Shepherd called Star but apparently the celestial link hadn't occurred to them when they chose Luna, it was just a name, he, his girlfriend and my niece all liked.

Fenton also crossed my mind, but too many people don't know the video or mishear it as Benton.
So, yes, don't know what happened to Fido really, seems dogs names have the same fashion issue as humans.
My name has nothing to do with a dog, I assure you! And nor is it my Christian name, which appears nearly 500 times on the list - a good solid name, which has stood the test of time. My brother's name was unusual when he was christened but is now a top 50 name, although it was top 10 a few years ago, it's on the wane. My mum's name appears 18 times, but not her spelling. My dad's name appears a surprisingly high amount (top 500), despite me never coming across one aged less than 40.
As a secondary school teacher, the amount of spellings that make you want to weep is mind-blowing. This year, I have taught an Arrison (sic), Leland and twin girls called Sianna-Lee and Daisy-Dee, who are all in Year 7 (11-12) along with plenty more. It can be a nightmare reading an unfamiliar register. I've yet to meet a Brayden/Braiden who isn't a little shit.
Totally agree with @Toast too that all these shortened names are stupid. Give them a proper name and call them what you like at home. Alfred, known as Alfie by his parents, who changes it himself to Freddie when he's a teenager. Stop making life choices for your children.

Nobody does bottle episodes like Moffat! Superb. A reminder that the Doctor didn't move for 95% of the episode. Didn't realise Mundy was our new companion, interesting that RTD has let Moffat introduce her, at least this iteration. Also, I've completely missed the Susan Twist connections: who has she played in the other episodes? I'll have to have a rewatch when I get some time...

When I click link though it doesn't give days such as "I can be free 10th to 14th June etc etc." They never usually send things like this for an election that is a guessing game date wise.
Dear Fiona,
At some point this year (when the Prime Minister gets his fucking act together) a UK Parliamentary General Election will be called. Once again, we will need people to work at polling stations.

25 minutes ago, Sod's Law said:The only consolation is that they won't be sitting for more than half that time. Summer recess will be here in no time, then two weeks after that ends, it's conference season, Sunak will be out of the country schmoozing with other Commonwealth heads of government, and then an election campaign. So once you get to summer (fingers crossed) there's just not enough time for them to do any more damage.
And there's also the hope that a November election, when it's cold and dark will only exacerbate the hatred the country has for the Tories. Small mercies.

It almost always is these days. Ironic it came at the hands of a former Norwich boss in Farke. Apparently an Arsenal coach is favourite for the job, as he worked with the new Director of Football, who was involved with loans at Arsenal previously.

Great action. Wish the cars were smaller and more closely matched today so we could get back to this. I'll always love that Prost was a pall bearer at Senna's funeral. After all the shouting and fury, the respect and friendship came. I'm sure I've read that Senna pleaded with Prost to come back in 1994 after he'd retired.

Those aren't the same scenario as here, though. River Song being Amy's child is perfectly plausible. Ace not realising Kathleen was her gran all along is also not an issue paradoxically.
If I understand you correctly, there is a feasibility that Ruby has a child that is somehow imprinted with her memories, so believes itself to be her in some weird cause-and-effect loop. (I know what I mean but explaining it is almost impossible for me).
If Ruby is the figure and the solution is not something similar to that (poorly) described above, then I'm not sure how she can be both the figure and the baby. But we'll see.
We know the figure has warned the Doctor off pursuing them - here's a curveball, the figure isn't Ruby's mother at all, it's the Doctor.
