50/50 he won't make it till the end of the month

my criteria was - global media cover, public memorials, a long Wikipedia page and a true shock news, like Bowie's death...i know now that these names are here it would not be a shock to us deathlisters, but it would be to other people
-
Considering the shock that Bowie generated maybe you should take a different approach. Find 20 names of artists in the age range 55-70 who aren't DDP picks and then do a poll to decide who is going to be the next big shock. good idea, bravo sir, i'll do it, got nothing better to do now Why not close this one now? why? has nothing to do with the other one Because it's not very interesting. And if i toss out Vera and Glen?

i agree she is beautiful, keep an eye on her, serbian and croatian actors die relatively young.....don't want to scare you well we were inspired by Italy, Hungary and Austria, the food is good and full of cholesterol haha XD but yeah, WW2, 80's before the war, 90's during the war..... let's just say we look like first world country but live like 3rd XD double meaning all Croatian Australians that do visit their homeland, don't want to stay for long XD
-
i thought about it....but her recent CHANGE made her a good girl...i mean boy.....in people's eyes, he won't die for at least 10-15 years, it will be one of those media deaths: drugs, breakdown, no hits, no fans, no money.....i hate myself for comparing these 2 but something like whitney's or amy's death.....drowned in alcohol and drugs besides....he would get all the votes
-
i was inspired to get her on XD i can easily take her out of the list, but you never know
-
he's on the other list XD there's no chance i can forget about him
-
Depends who you want to cover in your list but this might give you a headstart in terms of surviving chanson singers: http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8334&view=findpost&p=237844 i only now a few Balkan chanson singers, i dab in Eurovision a bit but its more interesting with big names, it's harder to guess and this time no more than 50 XD but thank you for your helpAre you from the Balkans yourself? the level of my grammar at 1 AM is just.....no...no........ but yes los Balkaneros i am, not so proud but still rotting in here XDLet's see how good Google Translate is at Balkan languages... I just want to say that:Мислим да је Аница Добра је најлепша жена икада! i have no idea what you just wrote there XD i'm not from serbia, montenegro or bosnia and herzegovina, in croatia we don't use cyrillic letters just plain normal ones...actually it's shocking if someone is using cyrillicLOL - I just said I think Anica Dobra (the Serbian actress) is the most beautiful woman ever. My infatuation with her is well documented on these boards. By the way, there is a big Croatian community in the part of Australia I am from. found her, still don't know who she is XD how the F did you end up with serbian actresses? And all the way down there......you don't want to see their...well, our.....musicians....more plastic than a full coca cola bottle. for real? i know a few people down there

i'm sorry but i never heard of him, i doubt it would be a global shock if he dies :/ *ahem* Joe Dolce didn't have his UK #1 until 1981. He's on my long list for next year. Not a global shock? Whatsa matter you, hey? i could be wrong about global headlines XD but i never heard of him.....by global i meant not only English speaking countries Bowie was covered even in Vatican XD

i'm sorry but i never heard of him, i doubt it would be a global shock if he dies :/ I'm just messing with you. Neither Chas nor Dave are listed either the moment i clicked post, my lame brain said it was sarcasm.....
-
i didn't include and i won't include Liza Minnelli & John Travolta because they are actors by my opinion, Sinead O'Connor also won't be added, it would be a shock but i don't think she will be saved from another suicide attempt so it's pointless, I don't know if i should add Boy George or not.....

i never really like Elton, Bowie was my idol, but not Elton....he does seem to have a similar past with overdose, illness and stuff...when he dies the whole planet will praise him and adore him. I think he'll get Bowie/Jackson kinda reaction from the public although he never got my respect as an artist like the two mentioned. I need to take a minute here have you just put David Bowie and Michael Jackson in the same artistic category??? haha no, that was the media reaction basket, nothing related to their music, although jackson got more attention The attention Jackson got focused on him as an individual where Bowie sent all the 45+ journalists into a morbid sense of 'oh my god David has gone all my formative years were spend wishing I was one quarter as cool as he was everyone else must feel the same' However the focus was on him as an artist which like him or loathe him he certainly managed to balance between the commercial success and the avant garde experimentation. and there was no money/fame hungry family of 50 people who sold his body as a cheap prostitute like in Jackson's case.....and the fact Bowie was cremated fast just like Winehouse so no 3 month funeral could take place, although Mitch loves money just like The Jacksons
-
would be a hell of a band to put them together XD they could sell shows like crazy

i thought about all of them, even some younger ones, but decided to keep it simple this time, and i went for shock death, outside ddp people don't really expect aretha franklin to die but i could always add some more names Aaaah I was probably not explaining my self well enough. The DDP is the Derby Deadpool which is the main off list game for us UK Deathlisters. Because each player is allowed up to three teams of 20 picks there are a very large number of names on here which makes it all the more shocking when someone who is off the radar goes because you expect at least someone to have them. Theme teams also add to that sense of shock. no no i get it, i'm new to the site, i didn't know most of them already were on the death bed a few times, but i love myself a good challenge, i'll add some risky ones
