RIP. I think he was as famous for working on the production/associate producer side of things as much as the acting. Produced a fair amount of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. i can remember watching one made in 1957 where he played a detective and I’d had never have guessed he had lived another 64 years! So the oldest actor of the golden age of Hollywood is gone.

I'm not French Drol. I picked my Deathlist name from the main character's name in 'The Dark Tower' written by Stephen King. I am from that island in the North Atlantic known as the UK. Aren't I lucky? ps - I've sadly never heard of Pierre Soulages and only now am aware of him after he has 'ceased to be'.

I'm sure most of you are aware but for those that aren't, veteran character actor Geoffrey Chater is 100 today.

Regarding Ronald Pickup, I just saw his first role was in Dr Who's The Reign of Terror playing the physician. Also one of the growing number of cast members to depart who were in Zulu Dawn. Very impressive list of credits all round really. RIP

RIP to an acting legend. It always surprises me when famous people die who were busy, appeared healthy into their 90s, and stayed relevant right up to the point they, err, do die. Kind of like Christopher Lee. I thought Chris Plummer would have been one of those going in his late 90s. Apart from Julie Andrews was he the last surviving adult cast member of The Sound Of Music? I know he did outlive 2 of the Van Trapp child actors.

RIP to a decent bloke. I thought when he had pneumonia that he didn’t have too long left but 100 is a great age and he will be well remembered.

What with Covid being a thing since March 2020, I am assuming this photo precedes this time (the lack of social distancing would be frowned upon especially with an octogenarian in attendance?) I also have read that Big Finish sometimes record their product years in advance of them being released/ having a press release so the photo isn't as helpful in that regard.

Yep - she’d not been well for a long time really so her death while sad/surprising wasn’t too unexpected and 89 is not a bad age at all really considering. End of an era really with Hammer though - all the prolific producers, directors, scriptwriters and stars now gone from the late 1950s to early 1970s Golden Age.

Very good looking woman as well and never gave a bad performance. Would have made a good 60s/70s Who companion in my opinion. It’s a shame her Who story was a bit sub-par being the so-so Planet of Fire but it did introduce us to Peri so I’m not too disparaging of it!

I had mentioned her before on here probably over a year ago. I know she did have a stroke over a decade ago and the last time I saw her was being interviewed on that Horror 3 part series with Mark Gattis and on a documentary about the 1974 film 'Ghost Story' which also featured a number of people mentioned on here like Murray Melvin and Marianne Faithfull. RIP to the last of the Hammer horror greats.

What about Ray Brooks who played the bartender in Carry On Abroad? 82 next year and his last role was also in Eastenders (13 years ago) He's well known for other stuff mainly like Mr Benn, Big Deal etc but may be considered too young and with no word on his condition the committee may cast his inclusion aside.

Apart from Jim Dale, she was really the last of the Carry on stars who appeared in a good proportion of them. It's this that I'll remember her for, not bloody Eastenders! To most now they may seem corny and low-brow but the Carry ons have their place in British culture and Barbara will be fondly remembered as being a memorable part in them. Now she joins Sid, Charles, Hattie, Bernard, Kenneth, Joan, Peter Butterworth, Kenneth and the hundreds of others that I'm too tired to name at this late hour..

Richard Donner - director of Superman 1 and 2, the Lethal Weapon Series, The Lost Boys, The Omen and a lot more is 91 next year. Roger Corman - world renowned film producer is 95 next April and seems very 'death-listy' (to me anyway). Woody Allen as a long shot - 86 next year so just about at the age where he could be considered
