Robert Palmer got some bad news from the Grim Reaper 14 years ago. -
Gord Downie. If it's Valerie I will kick myself in the face because I picked her the last two times.

Was just about to comment on that actually R.I.P Tony. Never watched any of your stuff but I'm too much of a Canuck to do it.

Greg Gilbert and a new update about cancer. From his Instagram, he says the results are a bit better than what his oncologist was expecting, but says some of the nodules in his chest have grown back, which means more chemo. For a picture, he posted a picture of himself and he doesn't look too bad, but it's just a headshot so it's kinda hard to tell.

Isn't really ill or old but... what a moniker!

Is Liam Cosgrave a "death-listy" name? Pretty big name over in Ireland and possibly the UK it seems.
-
Ah, I misread/misunderstood that, sorry about that.
-
Looks like it doesn't count, so yeah still 1 hit for me.

So, anyone wish to see what watching Raging Bull is like after Jake died? Or hell, let's wait for Robert DeNiro to die and we'll see then.
-
Most important death of the year is probably Zoltan Sarosy okok serious time methinks I would consider Zhou Youguang among the most important deaths of January

Little update on the Rise Against show. Maybe I could've made an update about this after Oct 23rd but this show was too awesome so it deserved it's own post First on set was Whitelung. They are a punk rock group from British Columbia. I had never heard a song by them prior to the show but their show was full of energy and promise and I think I will check out more of their stuff! Next was Pierce The Veil, and these are one of the bands I used to hate for no reason, but I absolutely love now. They are kind of like Coheed and Cambria (best comparision I can make honestly, there may be a few here who know who Coheed and Cambria is or atleast know Claudio Sanchez and his comic book work.) They are basically post-hardcore/emo. PTV's show was very good and energetic and I have to say that, IMO, Vic Fuentes' (the singer/guitarist of the band) voice gets better with age. Last but not least was of course Rise Against. Rise Against is a melodic hardcore band if you don't know who they are. Their lyrics promote awareness for PETA and stuff like that, in short, they are vegan, and actually straight-edge (minus the drummer, who is vegan but not straight-edge). I'm personally not vegan or vegetarian (meat is too good, y'know?) But I think their songwriting and even their music videos have truth to them. Anyways, they rocked! They proved they can still rock as heavy as ever after about 18 years (you'd be suprised how many bands there are from around that time like Coldplay, Nickelback, Weezer, etc, who completely changed or sold out or just suck now.) Anyways, ratings. Whitelung - 9/10 PTV - 8/10 RA - 10/10 see you next update which will be after Cattle Decap -

me too, I have 4 hits in silent and 1 in GI, either we have really good picks in silent, bad picks in GI, or the Grim Reaper is taking his sweet damned time with the old folks!

well shit, damn differing sources is it possible that I could say something like this 1920: Wayne Thiebaud, Alicia Alonso 1921: Duke Jean of Luxembourg, Iris Apfel 1922: Jake LaMotta, Doris Day 1923: Bob Barker, Rose Marie 1924: George H. W. Bush, Joyce Randolph 1925: Dick Van Dyke, Barbara Bush 1926: George Englund, Julie Adams 1927: Thomas S. Monson, Rosalynn Carter 1928: Joe Jackson, Estelle Harris 1929: Bob Newhart, June Squibb and get the hit counted or does it not count? if it doesn't count, this will be want I want my team to look like for this round: 1920: Wayne Thiebaud, Alicia Alonso 1921: Duke Jean of Luxembourg, Iris Apfel 1922: Stan Lee, Doris Day 1923: Bob Barker, Rose Marie 1924: George H. W. Bush, Joyce Randolph 1925: Dick Van Dyke, Barbara Bush 1926: George Englund, Julie Adams 1927: Thomas S. Monson, Rosalynn Carter 1928: Joe Jackson, Estelle Harris 1929: Bob Newhart, June Squibb

Going for Valerie Harper.
-
Who on the 2017 list would you like to meet?
FixedBusiness replied to Sean's topic in DeathList Forum
I've met one person on the list already: Gord Downie. That was in 2015. I'd say Valerie Harper would be a cool meet because she seems like a sweet person and The Mary Tyler Moore Show is quite legendary in terms of American TV. -
I'm with you on that one. I actually hate Chicago as a whole, but only because of the anus vocals that sound like Chad Kroeger trying to do a Pee Wee Herman impression.
