I can't find the source at the moment, but it came from Whang-od herself. She says there are no records of her birth (of course in rural Philippines) and 1917 was a "fixed" year, but it could be any year between 1917 and 1925. -

Out of the other born in 1917 I'm not sure Frederico Fischer and Maria Teresa Sesé are still alive. I'd say last notable people from 1917 are Whang-od (likely born 1925, on Vogue cover last year), Song Ping (Politburo member in the 80s, A-lister politician), Ena Collymore-Woodstock (Jamaican first woman magistrate), Yang You (oldest CAE member, teacher to Huang Xuhua) and Robert R. Holt (quite big name in Academia). The rest don't have a real claim to fame. -

I suspected she was already dead and was looking for news this very afternoon. -
Sergio Segre died off-radar in April 2022.

For good measure Cesar Yanes Urias and Mohammad Hasan Sharq will be removed from the list if they reach 105 with no further updates. Likely will be not necessary.

Americo dead at 90.

He joined "Gruppi Universitari Fascisti" (GUF) in 1944, so yes, he was a young fascist. The number of partisans in Italy increased by a ten-fold factor from 24 to 25 April 1945, concomitantly with the decrease of fascists. Napolitano was never a partisan.

I said that.

Giorgio Napolitano (1925-2023) "È con viva e vibrante soddisfazione che vi comunico il mio decesso..." "DEEEEEEADDDD" (Every noob on his thread days before his death) Age at death: 98 Known health issues: Aortic dissection in 2018, hospitalised in 2021, hospitalised in critical condition and underwent surgery in 2022, hospitalised for months in 2023, lingered two days after being taken off life support. Cause of death: Don't know, it was so sudden. Alignment: The chameleon of Italian politics, young fascist during the war, hardline communist who applauded the repression in Hungary in 1956, first commie to go in the US (under the King of Immortals Jimmy Carter), minister of the interior, then president. And a strong president, who actually took choices! A nemesis for Silvio Berlusconi, the cat and the mouse, for a decade. The only president to be often considered stronger and more influential than the sitting PM and the first to be reelected for a second term. Like Silvio, a giant of Italian politics for good or bad.
