I feel the best way to beat out Donald Trump is someone on the populist left, because then they would be able to counter Trump’s phony populism without much issue. If a more centrist candidate is selected as the nominee, Trump could easily try to (and potentially succeed too) put them as an establishment politician, and Trump wouldn’t be wrong there. Granted, it’ll still be difficult for him to hold the three rust belt states regardless (he isn’t that well liked there), but putting a centrist as the nominee will definitely improve his chances of winning in 2020 and potentially cause more damage to the country...

And looks like Eric Swalwell is dropping out of the race. Yawn...

The DNC won’t learn anything, and they will continue to try to prop up centrist candidates cause they don’t like change at all. Hopefully voters can see through that and make him the nominee though. In other news, billionaire Tom Steyer wants to jump into the race. Yawn...

Aye, regardless of what happens on the title contender front, there’s no doubt that this will be a very exciting DDP year imo.

Shame to see him go. It’s a job that not very many people have the courage to actually do, and the fact that he had the ability to continue reporting on these dangerous natural disasters even while he had his stage 4 cancer diagnosis definitely gave him a lot of respectability.

Night two of the debates went through, and it was really a mess. Kamala Harris was by far the best debater of the group. Biden, as I kind of suspected, flopped miserably, but he wasn’t even the worst debater of the night.
