Remains hospitalised over the weekend...
He feels terrific though according to the article. I suspect he's going to get discharged Monday, as they have plans to go to Maine soon...

He actually died the same day as Ford, in different years obviously (December 26).

So we're at 5/25. Everyone who got selected and made it to January 1st has entered the official DDP competition, minus Eileen Derbyshire and Billy Graham, who has to sit out due to being the last two selected. There's a good batch of dead certs here, and some who will survive to 2018 (I'm specifically talking to MC Ren here), so let's see how they do.
Just a quick little update (though not for medals), we're currently looking at 9/25 dead at the moment. Weebl has the 6th hit for his wise choice of prog rocker John Wetton. Shaun gets 7th for Sara Coward, someone who probably died later than some people expected. Grim is 8th for selecting Peter Skellern, who also was the joker for the Advent Avalanche DDP team due to being chosen first. And the world's oldest person, Emma Morano, makes Deathers the person who is in 9th place. With almost 5 months away from the beginning of the original competition, I'm wondering how many will be dead before the time of the next Advent Avalanche rolls around...

Woo hoo. I'm leading with only 5 hits. Yay me...
Mind you, I think choosing Wetton as my wildcard will take my chances away from me later down the road...

Happy Birthday to Death Impends.
I wonder if anyone will die on my birthday in a weeks time. Had I joined the forums in 2015, I probably would've put Jenny Diski on my team, and gotten a birthday hit then.

You do not even know who Robin Williams is, I bet you confuse good will hunting with Flubber.
How are you and Kim Jong-Un doing?

Going to send my list in about a weeks time or so (think the day before my birthday). Forming my team is more adding new potential names instead of losing names (only Perham died so far who was in my 20!). One person who hasn't shown up in my list though is Catherine Nevin. She probably is legitimately ill, but there's a small part of me that is thinking she is a fraud, so...

I wonder if someone will die on the Queen birthday again like Prince did last year, so I'll go with that, though I'm probably wrong.

I say that due to the already recovering quote. And it's only in local news right now. But he could go the Ali/Mandela route, so...

*If I'm spared myself of course, but I think the concept is sound enough that if I snuff it, someone else will run it in my place.
Meantime, in the 6 months afterwards, YoungWilz would run some sort of poker like dead pool, which will be very interesting, to say the least.

So close, yet so far away...

Well, don't know what happened to rockhopper, so I don't think he can at the moment.

I knew she had her own thread originally, but I can't seem to find it for some reason.

Don't think about it as sponsoring, but more admiring, if you know what I mean.

I really feel like this year is going to be another underdog story like Spade's victory in 2013. There are a couple of teams in my mind that could potentially be the underdog though, so if it happens, I'd need to figure out which team it is...

A bit of a scary thought, what if my Advent Avalanche team somehow scores more points than my main team in the end?
