If it was Hein coming back, we all would be very happy to see him again.

Qualifying obit for Eddie Long in this competition (not others though): http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/15/us/bishop-eddie-long-dead/index.html

Self employment tax returns are simpler than this.
You can't please everyone now, can you?
-
Rumours floating on Twitter that Bishop Eddie Long has died.
If that's true, then some competing teams will already have an advantage over us.
-
Had I known that, she probably would've been seriously considered.A couple of heads ups to TMIB:
Gregorio Conrado Alvarez, picked by Heads of Fate, died late December last year.
Amber Snailham, picked by two teams, was 17 years old in November 2016 per Mail coverage of her plight. I would assume she doesn't qualify bar the offhand chance her birthday was in December, but can't find any DOB.
EDIT: Another - Thich Nhat Hanh was picked as a "details to follow" name. He appeared in the past couple of DDPs, though IIRC he was just listed as Nhat Hanh there.
I have received an email this morning which says that according to a Facebook post, Amber celebrated her 18th birthday on December 18th, so she makes the cut!

Just cut it down to 25 for everybody.
I think there are both advantages and disadvantages to do both. If you choose the 25 option, then you are more likely to find those bonus points, plus you get the advantage of choosing six jokers. Your disadvantages to that is you can't have as diverse as a team and you start with negative two points. That really isn't a lot. In the 50 team member case, you can select a very diverse team and still do pretty. However, your less likely to find those bonus numbers. It's also very unlikely someone will predict all 50, and if they do, congrats to them. Now I might've considered cutting it down to 25, but I won't because I already have 3 teams of 50 submitted, so it will stay an either or. You don't have to compete, but you might miss some bonuses, as I'm sure you'll enjoy some bonuses.
-
50? !!!!!!!!!!! Even in the DDP we are only allowed 20 out of the whole world! Ha ha. It seems an awful lot of names to keep track of, as I think Shaun found out in his Death By Numbers game.
Maybe next time, but another 50 names for me to keep track of with all the other competitions is too much for me at this stage. Good luck with it though, it's a good idea.
I'm thinking now that some people may not participate due to choosing that many people. I have an offer to make to people who think 50 is too much: you can select 25 people with a sixth joker and a few more numbers that can generate 2 points, but you have to start out with -2 points instead of 0. Does that sound like a fair deal? You don't have to accept, but I think it's a good offer. (I just made this up if you can't tell, it wasn't one of my unwritten rules)
-
Oh. Right. It ends the 31st of December. Should've put an ending to the game.
-
A competition where we enter but don't know the rules at the start but begin to have them revaled over time. This is the DP equivalent of Kafka's The Trial. Does the winner get summarily executed?
Nope. Although I did forget to put obit requirements. It's the same as the DDP obit requirements.

You must come up with 50 people from the list of jokers in the statistics thread. That's 259 people in total, as Hollingworth and Soares are ineligible due to death (why would I give you them?).
The list is found here: https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/8966-statistics/page-3#entry292790
They can either be put on this thread or PM'd personally to me.
You can come up with up to 5 subs
Each person is worth one point.
Nominate five of them as your jokers. Those people will gain double points.
So for people who are wondering how they could possibly win, they are heavily reliant on bonus points. However, the vast majority of the bonus points are in fact hidden, and will be revealed as people score those bonuses. Many of them are different from the Hartlepool, so that'll be where the fun will be.
I will reveal six of those bonus points besides the joker bonus for those five since it's required to compete. Those bonuses are:
1. If those people who are jokers are also unique DDP picks, they'll gain an extra 3 points
2. If those people who are jokers made the drop 40, they'll gain an extra 3 points
3. If those people who are jokers die unnaturally, they'll gain an additional 3 points
4. If those people die on the 13th of the month, they gain an extra 2 points
5. If they die on their birthday, 5 more bonus points will be given to them
6. There are random number of spots that have a total of two bonus points instead of one. Which numbers they are, however, will have to be hidden until they are scored.
Because I know the hidden bonus points and you don't, I'm going to be fair and not compete the first time. I'll probably join the second time when the vast majority of those points should be revealed.
You have until the 28th of January at midnight GMT to enter. Anyways, enjoy. Or not.

I'm ready to post that, but I'll patiently wait till 5 to start the topic.

Yep. 261 jokers in all (262 if you count Snailham). I might've missed a few, so please inform me who I missed, plus the four teams jokers when they get added if they are different, but that is really a lot of jokers.
Actually, in my head right now, I am coming up with a dead pool based around the joker, and I personally think, if it gets developed enough, that it could be a lot of fun. I might post a thread for it later tonight.
-
If it's true that I actually get second place like gcreptile predicted, then I'll have one of the, if not the, greatest debut of all time.
That'll look good on your CV.
Alas, potential employers will see it and point to Fallen Sparrow 2005...
Yeah. I agree with that. I would still be higher in overall points though. Let's see how I do overall though...

Here you go. I apologise now to their friends and family (apart from Trump).

Surely apart from Brady him as well?
And pedophile Snuka as well, right?

In Queen Elizabeth's bio, you had not a popular DDP pick, probably due to the previous ones there was no health scare. She's definitely a popular one this time, so you should probably change that.
-
Love the new format. Gutted that one other person chose my joker Assem "not well at all" Allam.
That's why DDT warned you. Watch out for the Pelican. They have some tricks up there sleeves.
-
Whenever themaninblack gets done with adding those 4 teams (and do take as long as you need, I wasn't trying to rush you with that comment I should've thought twice before posting), I think I'm going to post a list of people's joker in the statistics thread cause I'm interested in seeing how many jokers are ill, how many are just old, and how many are just people wishing.
-
Just noticed this team. http://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2017/teams.html#DDPTeamthet17
Apparently they don't want to have a team name I think...
-
I just realized that. Shouldn't of said that. Apologies. I'll change it now.
-
Edit: A bit rude here. Apologies.

Sir Alex Ferguson has died.
Link?

We got to say yippee ki yay motherfucker to Alan Rickman 1 year ago today, who died from cancer at the age of 69.

Yeah. The advance age thing, he probably wasn't put on due to his age. They rarely put anyone debuting past the age of 100 (Rockefeller and Rainer are two I can think up on the top of my head), so he's probably wasn't put on due to those reasons.

There's that stammer again. I think you should take a few days off the forum so you can cure that stammer. I hear that's the only way to cure it.
