Interesting that we now know which newspaper he reads. Of the living Doctors I reckon Davison, McCoy, Eccleston and Capaldi would all be Guardian readers. Smith is more likely to be a Times man. C Baker is known to read the Daily Mail. The youngest ones probably don't read newspapers.

Edward and Sophie appear to be very busy in their Royal duties at the moment.

He looks like Ossie Ardiles

He certainly looks worse than Player to me.

US Masters Champions 2024 annual photo. Gary Player aged 90 is now the oldest champion but based on this evidence I could see him outliving several of these guys.

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Kenneth Colley had a leading role in my favourite Inspector Morse episode of all time, "Second Time Around", alongside Oliver Ford Davies (born in 1939) and Ann Bell (born in 1938) who I correctly thought were still alive but also Pat Heywood (born in 1931) who I assumed to be long gone but appears to still be alive. -

As Sting would sing - "I will turn your flesh to alabaster. Then you'll find your servant is your master." -
Lord Bernard Donoghue is another one to watch from that era who is mentioned in this article.

Re: Victoria Atkins, yes she's the daughter of former MP Sir Robert Atkins who had a famous election contest with the similarly named Ronald Atkins (who lived to be a 104), who also had a daughter, Charlotte Atkins, who was an MP. It's a rather incestuous political system!

The father of former Conservative MP and Government Minister Alistair Burt is still alive aged 101

Out and about at Lingfield races and clearly nothing wrong with her mental health. With the exception of her eyesight she looks great for someone who is 90 this year

Pictured at Wembley watching England v Brazil and celebrating the life of Terry Venables. Doesn't look as frail as he has done in the past.

Based on this photo from today, you wouldn't think John Major was eight years older than Gordon Brown.

Joan Collins ultra glamorous British actress and Hollywood star

Although she undoubtedly wears a lot of makeup, she still looks great for someone in their 90s. -
A bit of detective work shows that the guy second from the right (standing next to Sam Waley-Cohen) is Ron Barry who won the race in 1973 on The Dikler and the guy next to him in the purple tie is Frank Berry who won in 1972 on Glencaraig Lady. Ron Barry is now well into his 80s. Not sure who the guy between him and Berry is.

Photo of Cheltenham Gold Cup winning jockeys from earlier today. There's a few a few old timers I don't recognise. Francome and Jonjo O'Neill are on it but hopefully they are both ok for a while. Any idea who some of the older ones on the right hand side are?

Not sure how accurate this is but it claims that Hurd's first wife is still alive aged 87 https://webb-site.com/dbpub/natperson.asp?p=2493050

Some QPR legends at Loftus Road tonight honouring Stan Bowles. Ron Abbott, Gerry Francis, Ian Gillard, Frank McLintock, Phil Nutt, Don Shanks and Dave Thomas (who is now blind) are all present according to QPR's Twitter. Photo of McLintock and Gerry Francis in the foreground. McLintock doesn't look too bad considering he's now 84. Phil Parkes and David Webb sent video tributes which are on Twitter and both look fine. Don Givens and Don Masson gave written tributes so might not be in such good health.

Clearly no significant mental decline if he's still capable of delivering a speech for 40 minutes.

Nick Mason is on the grid at the Bahrain Grand Prix (along with Jeremy Clarkson and Sarah Ferguson) and he looks ok to me.
