Thought Lawrie looked decent for his age. Certainly a lot better than poor old Danny Wallace.
-
Looks like he's put on a bit of weight which may be a good sign. His legs don't look too bad either and he's a bit less frail looking.
-
Lady Thatcher's PR guru Lord (Tim) Bell aged 77.
-
Thought he lives in South Africa according to the documentary. Unless he's moved since it was made.
-
He's had a statue erected of him in Wantage and turned up for the unveiling. Doesn't look bad for a permanently-malnourished 83 year old https://www.oxfordtimes.co.uk/news/17849290.lester-piggott-39-s-wantage-statue-39-magnificent-39-ahead-exhibition/

Cryer was a very heavy smoker allegedly so it's probably related to that.

Trending on Twitter as someone has recorded him singing in a restaurant https://mobile.twitter.com/eliistender10/status/1162998812249640960 On this evidence, far from convinced that he should be included next year.

The last survivor of Bradman's Invincibles side of 1948, 90 year old Neil Harvey is attending the 2nd Ashes Test at Lords later this week according to various media articles. -
To be fair she's 102. Simply to be able to go outside and wave at that age is an achievement. I think she looks better than Kirk but could go at any time.

Jockeys aren't exactly the longest-lived breed and many of Carson's contemporaries are now riding in the great racecourse in the sky

Bob Dole

Think we should have another racing person to replace him next year. How about Lester or Willie Carson?
-
New photos having a day out in Brighton. Great she can still get out at 102. What a life she's had https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/vera-lynn-still-top-pops-17484197

Was watching a 2010 documentary on India's surprise 1983 Cricket World Cup victory earlier this week. It's quite surprising as Dickie Bird looks and sounds awful and I would have given you very long odds he'd still be alive 9 years later based on that. Conversely, Martin Crowe looks about the youngest and healthiest of all those interviewed. Just watching today's One Day International coverage today and the stadium camera zooms onto Dickie Bird looking far better than he did ten years ago and if not a picture of health, at least not at all bad for someone in their late 80s. The Reaper moves in very mysterious ways. -
Has to be said although they are now all dead, many of the recognisable cameo actors from Fawlty Towers had a pretty good innings. Terrence Conoley, Geoffrey Segal, Conrad Philips, Gilly Flower and Mavis Pugh all made it into their 90s for instance.
-
Charles McKeown (Mr Ingrams in the Kipper & the Corpse) is still listed as alive so you can add him to your list. Quite surprised Claire Neilson (who played the wife of the obnoxious American in Waldorf Salad) is still alive. Equally surprised that Luan Peters has died (in 2017). Ironic that Cleese has outlived her given the script from that episode implies Basil is way too old for her character.
-
The greatest Speaker of modern times. Dread to think what she privately makes of Bercow although she'd be too professional to ever say publicly.
-
Really brings it home than even the middle aged actors from Fawlty Towers are now in their late 80s or 90s and the few youthful ones are now in their 70s. Still a timeless programme though.
-
Searching through Wikipedia, surprised to see the actor who played Sybil's crush Andre is still listed as being alive aged 93.
-
I'm struggling on this other than Cleese, Connie Booth and Prunella Scales, I can only think of Bernard Cribbins, Geoffrey Palmer, Robin Ellis and Nicky Henson of the big guest stars who are still in the land of the living although some of them are pretty frail. I assume Sabrina Franklin, the actor who played Sabrina Franklin's husband, Luan Peters and the boy who played Ronald in Gourmet Night are all still alive but maybe not?

Has been on Talk Sport and Radio 2 today talking about the equine flu outbreak, somewhat ironic given his recent comments about his own flu. Perhaps the horses will all lose huge amounts of weight and start wearing garish oversized clothes once they recover. No sign of any TV appearances though which may be telling.
-
Aside from the horrible clothes if that’s a recent photo you would have to say he looks pretty good for his age.
-
Fact we haven’t seen a photo of him since the Autumn is worrying. I suspect he’s now housebound and in the final stages of his illness. A sad end for a controversial but undoubtedly colourful character.
