    Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

He’s been warned for driving without wearing a seat belt AFTER the crash
  2. Deathrace

    Val Kilmer

That was horrible to watch and listen to. Supposedly not exactly the nicest person in Hollywood but I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.
  3. Deathrace

    Olivia De Havilland

Is she the oldest on this year’s list? I sadly think as with Kirk and her fellow Dame, Vera Lynn this may be her last year as she is now in truly “ancients” territory but what a life she has had.
  4. Deathrace

    Mikhail Gorbachev

One of the more inspired of the new picks
  5. Deathrace

    Valery Giscard d'Estaing

    Feels like another wasted pick
  6. Deathrace

    Tony Britton

Does Fern Britton ever talk about his health? She talks about pretty much everything else.

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019

Not impressed that Dick Van Dyke is on there. Have any of you seen the recent Mary Poppins? Disappointed that neither Geoffrey Palmer nor Joss Ackland have been included. Dropping Olivia Newton-John and Leslie Philips also look bad calls.

Who, on the 2019 List, Would You Most Like to Meet?

The two people on last year’s list I had actually met are both no longer on the list - one died and the other has been inexplicably dropped this year.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Eddie Large is in my “I thought he was dead” category as it’s so long since he was on TV regularly, he was hardly a picture of health then, he has had multiple health problems since and most of his light entertainment contemporaries from the 1980s are now pushing up daisies.

    Olivia Hussey

I hope she’s got plenty of years left in her. I expect Leonard Whiting may depart before Olivia but who knows.
  11. Deathrace

    Clive James

He doesn’t look great but I actually think on this evidence he doesn’t look that bad either all things considered. Probably at least evens he finally goes in 2019 but he’s had a bloody good go at trying to outrun the Reaper for a long time now.

    Lester Piggott

Released from hospital after 2 weeks and fitted with a pacemaker. Presumably he is used to pacemakers being a jockey.

    Lester Piggott

A classic quote especially as he’s now 83 - "He's in good shape considering he's been abusing his body since he was 16”!

    1. Jimmy Carter

Based on the footage of the George H Bush funeral, I’d take him off the list for 2019. Maybe substitute him for Rosalynn though.
  15. Deathrace

    Bob Dole

I think he has to stay on the list. As an aside, does he die his hair? He still obviously takes a lot of pride in his appearance for a wheelchair bound 95 year old to be fair.
  16. Deathrace

    Valery Giscard d'Estaing

Based on this evidence, I reckon about 18 months to two years before Giscard gives his final Au Revoir.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

Statistically impressive that all of the four Presidents from Ford to Bush 1 have lived to be at least 93. I believe that Carter is the first President since Truman to outlive his immediate two successors. If you discount assassinations, I believe he’s the first since Taft. That’s ironic as Taft wasn’t exactly the healthiest looking President. Must be a chance of Obama joining this group too.

    2. Dick Van Dyke

Looked very well at the Mary Poppins sequel premiere this week. Far better candidates for 2019. One to drop.

Who Should Be On The 2019 Deathlist?

Turnbull and Weir look more like 2020 hits from their public appearances but I may be wrong.

Who Should Be On The 2019 Deathlist?

Joss Ackland and Geoffrey Palmer - both in their 90s and worth having on the list if they are still batting on 1 January 2019. I reckon Terry Jones is worth having on also. Should be room on the list for one Python from now until the last one croaks (either Palin or Idle in all probability).

    British Science Fiction Series

Awful to see Paul Darrow literally legless. Very brave of him to continue to make public appearances. Is he still working as the Voice of Jack FM? On the other hand, Davison looks very good for someone in his late 60s. He could easily pass for ten years younger.
  22. Deathrace

    John McCririck

If you look at her Twitter she appears to be in rude health. I expect she’ll be around for a lot longer than him.
  23. Deathrace

    John McCririck

Don’t see him lasting more than another few weeks. I appreciate someone’s health is very personal but not sure why he feels he can insult our intelligence by stating that his very marked deterioration is down to flu. His enormous weight loss, loss of hair, skin discolouration and rasping voice are all strong indications that he has terminal cancer. It’s not flu John. If he honestly has been told that he’s got the worst doctor in the world.
  24. Deathrace

    Clive James

Has the feel of a Boxing Day death. Someone famous always seems to die on Boxing Day.
  25. Deathrace

    Danniella Westbrook

Can’t believe she’s only 44. Wish her well with her latest battle
