Gone for Wouk.

Interesting list this time around, sensible decision to drop the Queen, as expected Clive James returns but oddly way down the pecking order but dropping Stiles is the mother of all gambles.
-
My eight to go and reasons why Gay Byrne (still sounding strong) Sandy Gall (excellent health) Queen Elizabeth II (excellent health and only 91) David Prowse (too early) Emperor Akihito (not abdicating until 2019, still in reasonable health) Ian St John (still robust despite cancer diagnosis) Honor Blackman (excellent health) Doug Ellis (excellent health)
-
I reckon Gall will be carried over having been on the list for successive years in an attempt to make him a Deathlist legend.
-
Is that the TV Presenter or Captain America?
-
Can't see an 18th death for 2017 but Clive James will be the first death of 2018 assuming he's back on the Deathlist.
-
Forgot about Val Kilmer, he now replaces Doris Day on my list.
-
Tutu replaces Akihito now you suggest it after reading more posts about him. The Queen may be too big to miss but with no current health issues and only 91 it's worth the risk to drop her for one year.
-
Hopefully my final list Keep Kirk Douglas Vera Lynn Billy Graham Lord Carrington Duke of Edinburgh Denis Norden Pierre Cardin Stan Lee Olivia De Haviland Herman Wouk Bob Dole Leah Bracknell Jimmy Carter Leslie Phillips Robert Mugabe Javier Perez De Cuellar Betty White Nobby Stiles Jill Gascoine Bob Barker George Bush sr Pope Benedict Hosni Mubarak Desmond Tutu Valerie Harper New/returning John McCain Linda Nolan Shane McGowan Jean, Grand Duke of Luxembourg Val Kilmer Richard Baker Stanley Baxter Clive James Tessa Jowell Harry Belafonte Jimmy Greaves Barbara Bush Stirling Moss Roger Bannister Murray Walker Chris Rea Charlotte Rae Olivia Newton-John Mark E Smith Henry Kissinger Jacques Chirac John Hume Sheila Mercier Douglas Hurd Morgan Tsvangari
