Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019
ebless replied to The Mad Hatter's topic in DeathList Forum
My thoughts on the remaining 44 candidates Kirk Douglas - Think he'll both make his 103rd and 2020 now. Olivia De Haviland - no guarantee she'll see 2020. Duke Of Edinburgh - More deterioration come autumn but should see 2020. Leah Bracknell - Hoping for impossible miracle regarding her terminal cancer, should be fine for 2020 at least. Vera Lynn - Not looking 100% going my recent pictures of her, wouldn't be surprised if she is a late Robert Mugabe - Just maybe his year. Jimmy Carter - Should see out this year but 2020 will be a big hurdle for him. Pierre Cardin - Think he'll all right this year but too old to be dropped. Bob Dole - Increasingly frail, no guarantee he'll see 2020. Henry Kissinger - Still able to fly across the Atlantic despite his frailty, too old to be dropped now. Jerry Stiller - Quiet of late, maybe worth keeping for the 2020 list. Javier Perez De Cuellar - Could go anytime Bob Barker - In and out of hospital, 50/50 Murray Walker - Still writing columns but still frail and now too old to be dropped. Emperor Akihito - Now retired, wouldn't surprise me if he goes this year. Betty White - Should be all right this year but we know what happened to Doris Day. Hosni Mubarak - Still looks reasonably healthy, should be dropped for the 2020 list. June Brown - Depends on when she will retire from Eastenders Stirling Moss - How is he still alive? Alan Greenspan - still makes TV appearances, easy drop for next year. Jacques Chirac - Dementia getting more advanced, think he's a 2020 goner. Dick Van Dyke - The DL committee must take the risk next year by dropping him, most stupid pick ever. Nobby Stiles - Has had end stage dementia since at least spring 2017 yet somehow he keeps breathing. Barbara Walters - getting more and more fucked. Honor Blackman - quiet of late, think she is now an ever present on the DL until she goes. Harry Belafonte - quiet of late but had to be on the DL sometime. I'd keep him for 2020. Desmond Tutu - Looking more frail, either this year or next year. Valery Giscard d'Estaing - One of the oldest ex major world leaders, think he's a lock now. Ed Asner - still active on social media, easy drop next year. Vanessa Redgrave - Still performing in theatre, easy drop next year. Jimmy Greaves - Needs a lot of care now, gone by end of winter. Sidney Poitier - Droppable if 2019 finishes on a low number. Valerie Harper - Either this year or next year. Loretta Lynn - Droppable if 2019 finishes on a low number. Mikhail Gorbechev - not too sick, could be a bold drop next year if we finish on a low number. Tony Britton - too old to be dropped but might have to be a risky drop if 2019 ends on a low score. Cleo Laine - Was an interesting pick but not going anywhere for a few years. Clive James - Game of Thrones over, think he'll gone by end of winter. Prunella Scales - No more cruise journeys for her, goner in late 2020 at least. Little Richard - Can no longer answer fanmail, too big to miss. Larry King - Divorcing 7th wife, had heart surgery this year, think he's a worthy drop for 2020. Tina Turner - Still looking great at nearly 80, wasted pick. Shane McGowan - He had to be on the list sometime but I think he'll see 2021. Ginger Baker - Getting really hard for him now. -
Bumped after 13 years, you've got a good memory.

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019

My thoughts on the remaining 48 Kirk Douglas - really old, still think 2019 is his year. Herman Wouk - Could go anytime Olivia de Havilland - 103 in July, no guarantee she'll survive this year. Prince Philip - Autumn will be his first real hurdle. Leah Bracknell - Still think she'll finally go this year Vera Lynn - Quiet of late, no guarantee she'll see out the year. Robert Mugabe - Now in the 50/50 zone. Jimmy Carter - 2020 may be his first hard year to keep on living. Pierre Cardin - Too old to be dropped Bob Dole - Think he'll be an autumn goner. Henry Kissinger - Reached the age of a DL bedblocker, wouldn't surprise me if he goes this year. Jerry Stiller - Who knows Javier Perez de Cuellar - 99 now, think he'll die any day now as he's been quiet of late coupled with last year's death hoax. Bob Barker - In and out of hospital. Getting increasingly harder for him. Murray Walker - Still think he'll be alright this year, now at an age of a DL bedblocker. Akihito - Frail, think he's returned to the list at the nick of time. Betty White - If Doris can go with previously unknown health issues at 97 then so can Betty. Hosni Mubarak - Still got at least a couple of years left in him. June Brown - Should be alright this year. Stirling Moss - A goner for sure this year. Bob Hawke - Don't think he'll survive the Aussie winter. Alan Greenspan - Random but could be worthy. Jacques Chirac - Frail but could last a bit yet. Dick van Dyke - No matter how sprightly he is, think he's a lock until he goes. Nobby Stiles - Had to return, outside chance now he'll see 2020. Barbara Walters - Maybe Honor Blackman - Think she'll stay on the DL until she goes but not this year. Harry Belafonte - Was a long overdue first appearance but likely to see out this year. Desmond Tutu - In the 50/50 zone. d'Estaing - Still makes public appearances, possible attempt to outjinx Ed Asner - Recently lost wife, still tweeting, next year at earliest. Vanessa Redgrave - Wouldn't surprise me if she goes this year. Think she's a bedblocker. Jimmy Greaves - Looks horrid but may last a bit yet. Sidney Poitier - Quiet of late, likely to de dropped for 2020 if 2019 finishes on a low number. Valerie Harper - Quiet of late but sensible keep. Cleo Laine - Interesting pick, still performing though. Loretta Lynn - Could be a lucky break. Gorbachev - Overdue DL debut year, in the 50/50 zone. Tony Britton - Really old so who knows John McCririck - Looks horrid, think he's an autumn goner. Clive James - Summer or Autumn goner. Prunella Scales - Think December will be too much for her. Little Richard - Could go tomorrow, could go in five years time. Larry King - Recently had heart surgery, think he'll be dropped for 2020. Tina Turner - Probably time she made her DL debut but not this year. Shane McGowan - Long overdue on the Deathlist, but I'd drop him next year as I think he has a good chance now of seeing 2021. Ginger Baker - Still touring, should see 2020 now. Johnny Clegg - Should be alright this year, but I'd keep him for the 2020 list. -

A barren spell must mean a summer avalanche. -
David Bellamy should be considered for the 2020 list, 87 next January and rarely heard these days.
