On Friday, former Democratic Vice President and 1984 Presidential Candidate Walter Mondale of Minnesota will turn 90 years old. Certainly deathlisty, considering Former VP's Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Dick Cheney have all made appearances on the deathlist. Mondale, along with President Jimmy Carter are the oldest remaining President and Vice Presidential duo. There's also a recent update about the Former Vice President. At around the 42 second mark and in the thumbnail you can see Vice President Mondale who escorted newly seated Senator Tina Smith to her swearing-in. Has gotten frailer over the years but is on his feet looks healthy for an 89-year-old widower.

It says a lot that he's seeking treatment at 97, especially for a fast moving cancer that has already spread. I still don't think he makes it past March or April.

Dead. Fox News posted it. Fox article here

Big miss. He's a true icon, at least here in the states. RIP
-
Even if he survives covid, I still think he's gone this year. Aren't heart attacks, strokes, etc more common with post-covid symptoms and complications? This could also be an issue with Los Angeles' 0% hospital capacity. They may be triaging patients who need the ICU bed more than King. This doesn't necessarily mean that he is out of the woods yet.

No, impeachment is reserved to the President, Vice President, and federal judges. . He could still face another trial after leaving office. I don't expect Biden's DOJ to do anything, though. He'll probably take the Gerald Ford route of moving on from a scandalous presidency. Although I do not expect a pardon of any kind. However, Trump could face state charges in New York, which is where his largest worries should be. A pardon would not work there unless it is from Gov. Cuomo, and the State Atty. Gen. in NY seems interested in pursuing charges against the entire Trump family.

This isn't a new hospitalization, either. He's been in the hospital for a week. Have to wonder, why announce it now?

You would think, but Gardner never flips on anything, unfortunately.

Murkowski, Collins, and Romney I think will shoot it down, which makes it a 50-50 tie and Pence breaks it. Chuck Grassley might be receptive to postponing it, but I'm not sure.
