Otto Warmbier, a Norh Korean prisoner from the U.S. Who was held captive for 17 months and sentenced to 15 years of hard labour has died. He was released this month after North Koreans reported he had fallen into a coma due to a sleeping pill and botulism. Doctors in the US found no evidence of said botulism and say he was beaten. Warmbier was 22.

I think we can all come to the conclusion that the deathlist is not what it used to be, if it were more competitive and planned to reach a goal, they wouldn't have put Oprah, Any One Beatle, and the Queen in her sixties on the list. Recently however, they are starting to pick picks that are more ill and old, with slightly less fame. Of course we have the occasional Ruby and Fergie, but we all had to have made an embarrassing pick in at least one of our shadow lists... I picked Cher and Janet Jackson in 2016!

I would have to say Gay Byrne is the weakest pick as of now, but on January 1st he wasn't, so it wasn't necessarily a bad pick. The big WTF's to me were David Prowse and Honor Blackman. I don't think David Prowse will get anywhere near 95 but he has at least 5 years left. I think Honor Blackman might have 5 left in her too.
