At 6 now. At this point last year, I had 3, so it looks like my shadow list this year won't be a complete flop like last year.

Musharraf, Bacharach, and now Turner are three pretty big misses.

Wow, what a legacy, RIP. I knew she was on limited time after she sold her discography, but I didn't expect it to be this quick.

My interpretation was that he was referring to them as a couple, as their being together would end upon his death, but I don't disagree that she could die from a broken heart.

    1. Jimmy Carter

Saw this on Twitter and thought it was interesting: no U.S. President has died in May, and Carter's only a week away from keeping that true. However, June and July are the most popular months for Presidential death, with 6 and 7 each.

She was also able to walk into today's Judiciary Committee hearing, so she's not entirely wheelchair bound.

Video of Sen. Feinstein at today's committee hearing. She is still clearly dealing with the facial paralysis issues, but sounds somewhat clear.

    The Grammy Dead Pool

THE DEATHLIST GRAMMIES Hello, this is my first deathpool so forgive me if I make some newbie mistakes. The prospects of a music themed deathpool was mentioned and I got the idea to make a "Deathlist Grammies" deathpool. The concept is that each player will select 3 people they think will die that come from 5 popular genres (Pop, Blues/Soul, Rock, Rap, and Country). The first player to completely wipe out an entire genre from their team wins the "DL Grammy" in their genre. You must also send in 2 substitutes for each genre. Ex: My Personal Team Country: Glen Campbell Loretta Lynn Willie Nelson Rap/Hip Hop: Xxxtentacion Remy Ma Tay K Pop: Linda Nolan Olivia Newton-John John Newman Rock/Bands: Johnny Hallyday Christy Dignam Ronnie Wood Blues/Soul Aretha Franklin Dionne Warwick Tony Bennett OVERALL RULES 1. Must have a QO 2. If they're a crossover artist (Ex: Taylor Swift, pop and country), you have the choice of choosing the genre. 3. They don't have to be grammy winners. I just call it the grammies so I don't have to call it the music deathpool. 4. No under 18, death row inmates are allowed (gotta find some rap artists), and no artists that don't fit any of the 5 genres (folk music, edm, and spoken word, etc.) 5. They must have at least one song released to spotify so I can verify that they fit each genre. 6. Deadline for entries begins on August 10th. No entries allowed after that date. All picks must survive until then or else your substitutes will be installed in the order they were submitted. 7. This deadpool ends when every genre has been wiped out by at least one player, meaning all 5 grammies have been awarded! 8. Have fun!

Got Bacharach and Sakamoto right, my first streak! Picked Carter this time

Ran for President in 1988, one of the first major women to do so. Campaign went up in flames at an infamous tearful press conference

    1. Jimmy Carter

https://twitter.com/bluestein/status/1635473607718584321?s=46&t=w_Magtzeyi-eKwoDhS1W3Q Biden discusses Carter's health: "I spent time with Jimmy Carter and it's finally caught up with him, but they found a way to keep him going for a lot longer than they anticipated because they found a breakthrough." Also reveals that he has been asked to deliver Carter's eulogy.

Yikes! This is what they're willing to admit. My guess is he wasn't able to break his fall at all, would not be surprised to hear of a fracture or something more serious

    Political Frailty

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), 81, hospitalized for a fall. History of poor health, polio survivor since childhood; previous refusal to comment on bruised hands and purple face in 2020. Assuming he survives this, but we all know how one fall is all it takes to send someone down a spiral — especially after losing mobility. Definitely a big name to keep an eye on, has been in the Senate since 1985 and led the Senate Republicans since 2007. Was the single biggest pain in Obama's (and maybe Trump's) ass for 8 years.

    Political Frailty

Sharpton does look pretty bad, but he also lost a *significant amount of weight* many years ago, and he's had a very gaunt appearance since then. He still seems active and has a show on MSNBC.

    Political Frailty

Civil rights activist and 2x Presidential candidate Jesse Jackson looking really frail at the Selma march w/ President Biden and Al Sharpton. Not speaking or moving. Turns 83 next year and has had Parkinson's since 2017 and had a long stay in the hospital for COVID in 2021. Definitely should be on the radar

    Andrew Tate

Sorry, I'm not buying this. Just another stunt
