I mean, he is 94. It seems to be a more active flu season than average in the US so I don't blame people his age for staying home at this time. However, It does seem that he has slowed down in the last year or so. I don't even think I've seen new pictures of him since the ones his son posted in 2023.

Representative Virginia Foxx, 81-year-old Republican of North Carolina, reportedly takes a nasty fall on capitol hill, resulting in "lots of blood"

As previously mentioned, Robert Wagner has been labeled as a person of interest in the drowning death of Natalie Wood in 1981. Turning 88 this year, Wagner probably doesn't have much time left and this developing story will probably bring many future updates to this thread.

Having a few extra pounds isn't a bad thing at that age. It can help them be strong enough to fight infections or other issues.

Thoughts on the 2025 Deathlist

I do think the Flack drop is the worst one. She's 88 with ALS. All around though, this seems like a great list. -
Very famous record executive. One of the more powerful ones of the 20th century.

No Yarrow or Ditka? -
He doesn't look that bad.

How ill do we think she is? I was under the impression that it's a serious cancer but that it's not terminal.

This was probably the hardest list to make because there was basically no room for new additions, but too many low hanging fruit to drop from the list! Here's my best shot for 2025: 1. I had her on my 2023 list. She looked awful at that year's Oscars so I can't blame people who have her on their list. I was just wondering if I missed a major health update with her! I agree she's probably not living another 5 years
-
May I ask why Liza Minnelli seems to be a popular choice this year? Am I missing something? I understand she looked frail at the 2022 (I think) Oscar's but I am not aware of any major updates since then.

It seems as though most Americans hate every old member of Congress *except* for their own 85 year old local congressman. That seniority helps them bring home pork to their constituents. Otherwise, they would be primaried out or lose re-election. Some caucuses like the CBC even discourage their members from retiring because they want their members to earn better committee positions and seniority, which is why you see members like Danny Davis (whose campaign had to use AI pictures of him for his last campaign because he was too frail to do a photoshoot) and David Scott (suffering from dementia and being wheeled around the capitol) stay in office until they die.

She does have dementia, but the screeching over term limits seems to be misplaced. She already announced her retirement and gave up her leadership of the Appropriations Committee. She was hardly absent for 6 full months. Her last vote was apparently in July, which was followed by the long recess in August. Very little happens in Congress during the fall campaign season anyway. I personally think there are more serious problems in Congress than old people racking up seniority for their district: the numerous insider trading scandals, gerrymandering, polarization, gridlock, and the constant government shutdown/debt default crises we seem to have every couple months.

TMZ article refers to Bolton's diagnosis as brain cancer, but when reading the article, it just repeats old information.

He has started looking pretty bad lately. I also noticed his hands kept shaking when he was at the DNC or speaking for Harris on the campaign trail.

Clinton was similar to LBJ in that he took basically no care of his health until his 60s, which was far too late for LBJ. I struggle seeing Bill hit 90. He'll probably be fine, but I'd be concerned if he's not released by the New Year or we get no updates for about a week or so.

Hip fractures are indeed very dangerous at nearly 85 years old, but she is a healthy weight, active, and seems to be otherwise healthy. With the quality healthcare she receives, I bet she'll be fine, though I do expect her to retire after this term. I've known people in their 90s to survive years after hip fractures.
