    Miriam Margolyes

I love Miriam so much. Hope she massively outlasts her expectations.
  2. Just in case you didn’t understand the complaints of other players, Wanamaker and I, that in bold is precisely the problem. If you considered giving + points to songs in the middle or above, and - points to those middle or below, you’d still be allowed to play. Maybe if you’d note the songs in order of your preference and score that way instead, then your scores would appear genuine.
  3. Oh believe me, a couple of minutes with him would be enough to put you off. Not met Payne, not that I particularly want to. Give me Lewis Goodall and enough wine to change his gender preference though
  4. Good lord. I'd like to officially take back my comparison between Willz' post and The Old Cremlin because to be compared to him AND Owen Jones in one day is far too harsh.
  5. C'mon, I gave you an 'almost' Ignoring rebellions doesn't always work. It's important in the early stages of Starmer's government to restore confidence in politics, and the way to do that is to firmly deal with potential sources of instability and conflict - let's face it, that's what the country has recently voted to end.
  6. That is absolute bobbins of an almost Crem-like order. Starmer has been crystal clear of his position on only implementing costed policies in an effort to restore the stability (economic and otherwise) the country desperately needs. Whilst Labour at large should be making clearer their long-term intentions when it comes to scrapping the cap, members creating rebellions and demanding immediate action when the costings for it haven't been worked out is not the way to go about enacting change - it merely rocks the boat and introduces unwanted heat into a situation which was being reviewed anyway. For Starmer to reduce his own majority in the quest for stability is to put country first.
  7. Rishi Sunak's detoxifying rebrand is clearly in full swing. Meanwhile, Jimmy Dimly remains an angry little prick on the opposition front benches, muttering bile and swears to himself while shaking his head vigorously cos he's so bleedin' 'ard. Best of luck with the leadership contest, James.
  8. Difference is, in KoS your anger is normally because the shite has been binned off, in total contrast to this thread
  9. Only on days when you don't post on here, which is an unfortunately rare event.
  10. You saying that gives me more confidence that it will.

  13. Oh goody, Jimmy Dimly thinks he can be an effective opposition leader. His party is a shithole.

  15. That’s not a bad set tbh. Centerfold a bit Radio 2 but the rest fine

    Joe Biden

True, but they all have one political party in common too so maybe not the best representation. Australia’s Gillard, NZ’s Ardern and Finland’s Marin, though none of whom had faultless premierships, all had largely compassionate dispositions.
  17. Pete Buttigieg is getting a fair amount of attention and praise on SM from what I'm seeing, but the majority of it appears to be coming from people outside the US. I rather get the impression he's not as popular among his home crowd; why is that?
  18. Forgive me for bumping this to the next page; I'm genuinely interested.
  19. Last time I asked a tailor why they ask. I think I assumed maybe they make some adjustments to eliminate VPL or something, but nah, he said it's so that they don't have any 'unfortunate run-ins' when measuring and stuff. That time, I'd have considered such a 'run-in' far from unfortunate.

  22. A question purely out of interest for Americans who will not be voting Republican in November: assuming Kamala Harris secures the Dem nomination, who would you personally prefer to see as her running mate and why?
  23. It’s just getting better and better! The chancellor is appointing a Covid corruption commissioner within the next few weeks to help examine and recover an estimated £7.6bn worth of Covid fraud money. Have a nice night’s sleep, Mone.
  24. "Polls show the public as a whole actually support the cap" is what you say. One poll of 2k people from famously right-leaning YouGov showing a slight net support for Labour's reasoning behind keeping the cap is what you produce. Do you see why so many people think you're a troll?
