So let's have a look at the reasons why Ed Sheeran's about to die that have been pointed out so far: He had a piss at a concert. (Obviously, fully functioning kidneys are not a good sign) He likes going out drinking. (Only people on a death wish do this) A bunch of vultures are after his money. (He's struggling as it is) He's ginger. (Actually, this one's fair enough) So, long and the short of it, this thread appears to have been created pretty much entirely out of wishful thinking.

Happily, no need for chemo as it turns out.

David Dimbleby’s about to retire...here’s who should replace him -
Franz Ferdinand (off of Austrian Archdukes, not bands) was taken out on this day 104 years ago, aged 50. His assassination caused a bit of a kerfuffle.

Yeah, she very much proved she can play a part in her music that’s different to the ‘psycho bitch ex’ style from the rest of JLP. Still an excellent album though!

Ryan Ferguson? Never heard of the fucker. But I heard this song from somewhere or other at some point or other in my life and, by pure chance, managed to find it again recently. It's somehow a bit catchy.

An 8-letter word for Richard Whiteley - deceased - on this day 13 years ago, aged 61. One of his more memorable Countdown appearances:

The eyes in this still are a tad intimidating, but it's Alanis Morrissette stuff from the 90s so of course it's good.

But obviously needing a piss is. Death's door.
-
Well, if you need a piss, you need a piss. Hope he doesn't die. His music is jizz, imagine how often it'd be played if he did die.

Fucking bastard! *changed preliminary list*

No, The Gipper has Alzheimer's and Shawshank Redemption died in 2011. Keep up.

Peter Falk passed away of Alzheimer's disease and died yesterday on 23rd June 2011, nearly five months ago today, at the age of 2011. He has Alzheimer's so might be worth a shout on next year's shopping list. Happy birthday to the legend, I loved him in The Shawshank Redemption.

Yeah, BBC's choice of words was a bit questionable

"Cleared" of sexual assault. For now. EDIT: Beaten by milliseconds EDIT EDIT: Clarification that "Cleared" only quotes the albeit somewhat misleading BBC article. EDIT EDIT EDIT: Clarification that John Leslie is still a repugnant bucket of fuck.

Louis Chiron, off of cars, retired from the race of life on this day 39 years ago, aged 79.

James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner were all killed by the Ku Kunts Klan on this day 54 years ago, aged 21, 20 and 24. The one on the right is genuinely Michael Schwerner, and not Antony Costa with bum fluff.

I'd say, of all the amazing hits Alien Ant Farm had, this Jacko cover is easily in their top 20.

Were cassettes always shite? I'm a product of the mid-90s and I was brought up on CDs mostly so I don't really know how they were perceived, but I do struggle to see how they'd ever be anything other than shite. I download all my favourite stuff and stream for general ear noise. That being said, I do appreciate the aesthetic of vinyl.

Hucbald, the Benedictine monk, worthy of note for being one of the first musical theorists, sung his last on this day 1,888 years ago, aged 80. Or 90. People are a bit hazy on that.

'Gone viral' has always been a puzzling one. Nobody ever goes 'bacterial', do they?

Saw this thread and wondered to myself what's going on with this little weirdo nowadays. First thing I see? That just about covers it then!
