Peter Robinson, former First Minister of Northern Ireland seems to have aged a fair bit (photo here). Suffered a heart attack in 2015 and stepped back completely from frontline politics, perhaps one to watch. See also Neil Kinnock on the left of this photo.

RIP. On balance a good man who served the people of Russia and the world well by playing his part in ending the Cold War. I feel we’ve lost somebody who could be seen as a voice of reason in Russia. In the West we may not have agreed with everything he said, but he could be relied on to put forward a reasonable Russian perspective, rather than the lunacy of the current cabal. On a different note, I think that really leaves only Brian Mulroney of Canada as the last living leader of a major power from the 80s.

Lord Giles Radice reported dead aged 85. Labour MP for North Durham 1973-2001 (named Chester-le-Street 1973-1983). Following his retirement as MP, he was made a life peer and served until retirement in August of this year. He served in Kinnock’s Shadow Cabinet taking on the Education and Science portfolio from 1983-1987. Obituaries: The Guardian
