    Political Frailty

Looks like he's taken a turn for the worse, he was said to be on the road to a full recovery according to Trump a few hours ago. Hope he pulls through.

    1. Jimmy Carter

Yeah, his world hunger and Carter Foundation work are inspiring and speak volumes about his character. I actually kinda like Dubya out of office but that's just me.

    Theresa May

It still boggles my mind how she bungled that election but it's done now. I'm thinking she's got max a year left to stay on, though probably less. It's funny, because it was starting to look like to me she would be the new Thatcher, lasting years and years in power but she messed up that campaign so badly. I still think Boris is going to follow her as PM, it's between him, Rudd and Fallon imo. If Gove back-stabs him again it will be hilarious though.

    George Bush Senior

Happy 93rd birthday Mr. President! I still think it's unlikely he reaches Ford's record, (one more illness will put him under, he even implied that at the Inauguration, though maybe he just didn't like Trump) but he could surprise me.

    Diane Abbott

That was my thought too, I thought she was just really dumb (she worried me most about a Labour Government) but I'm thinking maybe early dementia or Alzheimers, particularly with how concerned her colleagues are.

    The 8th death of 2017

Finally got one right with Christie, I'll go Glen Campbell.

    Errol Christie

Horrible way to go, but at least he isn't suffering anymore. Another hit from the bottom of the list too, I'd be nervous if I were Valerie Harper.

    The 7th death of 2017

Errol Christie dead according to the Sun, multiple boxers also reporting. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/3777379/boxing-errol-christie-dies/ R.I.P

    Errol Christie

I expected this, but it's tragic nonetheless. R.I.P Christie.

    George Bush Senior

I think it's possible but unlikely. I still think Jimmy Carter will become the one to beat Ford's record.

    Adam West - Batman

Death of the year for me, he'll be greatly missed.

    Donald J Trump

That's a horribly loose term. 'Hacking the election' implies they broke into voting machines and changed votes, which all the intelligence agencies all said didn't happen, even the Obama appointees (Rogers, Clapper, Brennan). The most serious charge they are levelling is that they hacked the DNC and maybe Podesta's Emails and released (true) emails that made voters question Hillary's electability. Remember, nothing in the Wikileaks emails are fake and they are trying to discredit them by tying them to Russia so people won't look at them. And I doubt Russia did anything in all honesty. This feels like an excuse for losing the most easily won election in history. The 'intelligence' agencies also reported Saddam Hussein had WMD's and that misinformation gave us the Iraq War. Julian Assange and Wikileaks deny Russia being the source as well and they have a 100% track record when it comes to leaks and truthfulness, far better then the CIA, NSA and FBI. I think the source was most likely a disgruntled Bernie supporter who discovering the rigging against him and leaked in protest. Podesta even mentions that in one of his emails, saying how he might 'make an example' of a suspected leaker.

    1. Jimmy Carter

He looks pretty good here. I think he'll beat Ford's record for longest living President by quite a bit. Rosalynn might rival Bess Truman's record as well.

    George Bush Senior

I'll say Bush, I think he'll be gone before summer's end.

    Donald J Trump

This is my logic as well. If the economy is doing well in 2020 and factory jobs in the rust belt have come back I can see him winning all his 2016 states, adding New Hampshire and Minnesota but maybe losing Florida or North Carolina. Remember, Bill Clinton was super unpopular for his first two terms but when the Republicans won the house and senate in 1994, he moderated and became more popular and easily won re-election. At the end of his 1996 campaign, Bob Dole knew he would lose as he was told early on 'If the economy is doing well, you won't beat Clinton'. I see a similar situation happening with Trump. People may personally dislike him but if they are better off after his 4 years and have more money overall, they'll vote with their economic interests.

I'm missed out there too. June 16th.

    The 7th death of 2017

I'm going with the popular choice here, Christie. I think he's just got a few days left, 100 tumours is pretty serious.

    Barbara Bush

I'll never forget that footage. It was surreal seeing the great and powerful Richard Nixon break down in tears, it showed he was still human though and did genuinely love his wife. I reckon we'll see something similar with H.W and Babara, only with the genders swapped and Barbara not lasting as long as good ol' Tricky Dick.

    June 16th for me.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2018

It's the things like that that are the reason why I'd be cautious if I were Tories, but not in full-blown panic mode yet. UKIP got around 15% of the vote last time right? That's a huge number that will almost certainly benefit the Tories.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2018

I'm not too sure anymore. I personally prefer May to Corbyn but Corbyn has been running a good campaign (the best I've ever seen him be) so far and the Tories aren't (weakest I've seen Theresa May be). I still think she'll win (the UKIP collapse should be enough) but it'll be narrower then initially anticipated. I would fire whoever was working on the Conservative campaign and go on the attack. Focus on Brexit (something they finally seem to understand) and make the public consider the thought of John McDonnell as Chancellor of the Exchequer (hit him with his 'I'm a Marxist' tape) and Diane Abbott as Home Secretary (this one should be easy). Also completely abandon the social care stuff or least don't bring it up. When election day comes I think it'll be Conservative's with 350-360. The UKIP collapse benefits them hugely and I don't think young people will come out in great enough numbers to really push Labour over the edge. Corbyn might actually survive as Labour Leader though, something I never thought possible at the start of this. I think Farron and Nuttall are both done though, and I would honestly advise UKIP to just disband at this point, they had one goal and they fulfilled it. Plus, UKIP is nothing without Nigel Farage.

    Donald J Trump

Certainly very possible. In all honesty I think we need to wait until Trump has two years under his belt and the Primaries begin until we can really tell what's going to happen.

    Donald J Trump

I'm actually going to go out on limb and say Trump will win 2020. The Democrats are not unified and if they nominate another moderate (say a Cory Booker type) they'll annoy progressives who are likely going to flee the party again. On the flipside, if they nominate a Sanders-style candidate (say Elizabeth Warren) the more moderate members might get nervous and sit it out. Whereas on the Republican side Trump will be an incumbent and have the GOP consolidated behind him. I also think he'll moderate his presidency near the end of his term to shore up more support, which is why I think he's going all-out at the moment. I know it looks unlikely he'll win but people said the same this year and look how that turned out...

Update from his daughter- http://www.rollingstone.com/country/news/glen-campbells-daughter-gives-alzheimers-update-w485150 He sounds like a goner to me, definitely a hit for this year.
