    The Joker's Dead Pool

You need a DDP equivalent qualifying obit - should come, but doesn't count as yet. Oh and she died on 27th January - before the deadline! What does Joey say about that? I just checked - the WaPo article I linked hasn't been up for an hour, so I'm hopeful a couple of DDP QO will show up within the next few hours. I didn't notice the dating of her death though! That does create a question!

    The Joker's Dead Pool

Brunhilde Pomsel has died at 106, and I'm guessing she functions as a hit for a couple of teams (including mine!). I wonder if anyone else had her as a joker as well?

    The Joker's Dead Pool

I'll probably put in my team in another day or so - waiting to see if the list of possibilities is cut down even more over the next 24-30 hours.

    The Dead Of 2017

I'm pretty sure (and if I'm right, kind of surprised!) that it hasn't been mentioned yet, but Ruth Samuelson, former Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly, died yesterday (Jan 23rd) of ovarian cancer. She revealed her diagnosis of the same publicly in June last year.

New Here And Just Saying Hello

Hey! I'm (clearly) new here - was directed here by one of the many news articles on the website after the celebrity deaths of last year, and honestly I found this really interesting - much more healthy than the self-feeding cycle of grief that my social media sites were after the big names died last year. (I can't say much though - as a fan of both the Harry Potter and Star Wars series, I wasn't much better after Alan Rickman and Carrie Fisher) (That said, the constant cycle of grief for celebrities who most people on my social media didn't care about until the died was very annoying.) About me - I'm 22, female, and Indian. I like a weird and eclectic mix of books, and being non-British, a lot of the names on the main Death List, as well as those being discussed in the forums, are a bit unknown to me. I'm happy to Google them once I hear about them though!
