Just been watching Antiques Roadshow and seen that David Battie (78) who has been an expert on the show for 40+ years has left. My mum says he apparently has been unwell recently. Also the other experts and Fiona Bruce did video goodbyes like they would never see him again or something. It will be on Iplayer now (it is the last 5 minutes).

COVID 19 - Second Wave
ladyfiona replied to The Great Cornholio's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
My cousin's wife now has covid. She works part time at a school and was just going there until she finished her contract with them in March as she has just moved to Lake District with her husband to open up a B&B. She is worried she may have passed it on to her elderly parents when they visited her less than a week before she tested positive. So far she is does seem ok from what she says on social media and from what my aunt is telling me. -
*Looks at Waitrose HQ warehouse near me* Well I know where i'm going if food runs out.

If responding to me - I couldn't see any bruising on my arm after I had it.
-
I had the vaccine a few days ago along with most of the hospital staff I work with and the only thing to come from from it is your arm aches and get a dry mouth.

Based from what i'm seeing Linda Nolan should be on the list next year due to her cancer. Doesn't her sister have it too?

Personally as someone who properly started Dr Who with Ecclestone in 2005 and watched every episode since, I rate Jodie quite good. Maybe it is because I watch Dr Who reaction Youtube channels so I can watch the episode over and over again while it is reacted to by others and see how they feel about it. The last series brought back The Master and gave us Ruth!Doctor and Jack Harkness. It was much better than Jodie's first episode run. Much like how Peter Capaldi's first series wasn't as good in my opinion. Series 8 was Capaldi's weakest but Series 9 was amazing. Maybe this is why I don't like 9th Doctor - because it always takes me a series to get used to a new Doctor. I am excited for NYD special and for what the future holds.

Dead Relatives - old photos from the 20th century and before
ladyfiona replied to The Great Cornholio's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
My aunt just posted this on Facebook with the following caption: The photo was taken on a day-trip from London to Hastings in 1954. My two grandmothers and an aunt are the first three ladies on the far right next to the gentleman (possibly the coach driver). I just love it and it always brings a smile to my face. So many lovely characters.- 54 replies

I seriously thought that after 2012 in Diamond Jubilee Pageant where Phillip got ill from being out in the water he would be gone within the year. Apparently not.

Anyone fancy some Gin?

One positive about his death is that it's upstaged Meghan's Markle. Tragic news as it is she is always fame hungry.

Just got BBC breaking news notification on my phone about his death.

I was browsing Wikipedia as you do for notable LGBTQ+ people and found the following person who is one to watch: Helmut Berger - 76 He was a very popular and respected actor back in the day but he's all but retired now due to ill health. He was even in the German version of I'm a Celebrity a few years ago but had to leave after two days due to his health.

Recent Tom Baker video. He seems alright for someone who is 86. Edit - Ok apparently that isn't a recent video but it is a video from last few years.

Jan Morris who is a trans woman and lesbian has died aged 94. BBC obit.

I posted this a while ago, but this is a reminder that June Spencer turns 102 next year and is still in The Archers.

Cissy Houston (mother of Whitney Houston) who is a singer in her own right is still alive. She is 87 years old.

Memento Mori, Unus Annus. Ok I know a stupid thing to post but 1.2 million people were watching live by time it ended. I woke up early at 7.30am just to see last half an hour. They made a channel just to last a year. It got to over 4 million subs by the end.
