Ukulele players are cursed... George Formby.. Peter Sellers.. John Lennon.. Bad news indeed for the likes of me. Me too, although I guess I always knew I was cursed - now I know why. I do need to say, though, that George Formby was a curse all on his very own! There have been, and still are, many great ukulele players out there who are/were so much more skilled than GF, and not nearly so annoying.

Damnit. I mean... how sad, think of her boys...blar blar blarrrgh. If only she'd lasted until 25th I'd be a winner. Selfish bi... I mean, Queen of Hearts and stuff. Grrrr.

Ok here goes... just off the top of my head, you understand... My 'Thread of the Year' award would go to 'Room 101' as I love all the anger and bitching, and I do a great deal of nodding and giggling whilst reading! The thread I would like to see removed is ( sorry MPFC ) the 'Football' thread. I'm not a huge fan... In fact, I can't stand the game. My 'Poster of the Year' award would go to MPFC ( does that make up for the last entrant??)for the hugely amusing posts, most of which I agree with ( although I can't usually say this for fear of upsetting certain other members!). My ' Post of the Year ' would go to TLC's Text Message. ( Scroll down past the first post ) Brought tears to my eyes! ( TLC is very close to MPFC for entertaining posts, so maybe a runner up award?) I can't think of any one rant that I would award, as they're all pretty amusing. Any link to GWBush-bashing would win an award for Best Link, and I can't think of any member I'd most like to see banned... ( I bet I'm on at least one list there though!) As for the best Admin/Mod... well, they're all lovely sweethearts who should be constantly praised and admired aren't they? Who could chose a favourite? I think that's enough for one day... Wow, I'm shattered now. My posts are usually so small! That's my load anyhow.

Too true, TF. I have spelled it incorrectly in the past, and have etched the word on my forhead with a rusty nail just so that I never do again. My head is hung. You've made many a spelling mistake too, I believe...

Vincent Van Gogh was named after his elder brother, who had died as a newborn exactly one year before Vincent was born. Poor Vincent must have suffered some psychological damage when passing the cemetery on his way to school - and seeing his own name and birth date ( one year out ) on a headstone. I think that's right anyway.... college was a long time ago....

Sad news. Just like Lord Bazaar said before me, Fluff's show was the focus of many a Sunday in my home. (Also, damnit. Another not on my list.)

Drawing pins... especially badly made drawing pins. I was pushing one into the wall* and the flathead came away from the actual pin, which meant that I was effectively pushing the pin into my thumb rather than the wall. Ouch and many ouches plus some nasty swearwords! (* I was hanging a birthday banner. I don't push drawing pins into the wall as a regular activity.)

I'm with you, Godot. I'm one of those damned annoying cyclists speeding past the stationary traffic in rush hour. Well, not really speeding because I'm too much of a coward, but going quite quickly anyway.

Thanks for your constructive contribution. If that's as good as it gets, I despair. This is a serious issue which deserves serious debate and a thoughtful response that protects both children and the victims of a mindless witchhunt. At the moment, children continue to be abused. The police and their allies are stupid, corrupt and much prefer soundbites and cheap busts to intelligent action, such as action which would prevent abuse. If you don't believe me, just wait for the news over the next few months. Then we'll see who's the moron. I am that guest... I haven't checked here for a few days so I didn't realise I had not logged in when I wrote that ' pile of crap ' post. I can not even be bothered to argue with the other ' guest ' on this point. I do think that if you like to look at images of child porn, then you are a paedophile. I can't imagine why anyone would like to see such images for any other reason. Argue all you want, 'Guest', it's your call.
