Honored by the Paley Center for 60 years on television. Needed a little assistance to come up., and her speech seemed slurred.

Was at World Series 5, but it was 43 who made the first pitch. Here are some pictures:

Only three little weeks left to break Gerry's long lasting record! I honestly never thought 41 would make it this far. He was already looking frail and old toward the end of his son's presidency, and that was 9 years ago!
-
He alluded to his approaching death many times during Mass (I was actually present during some), and he also has only one functioning lung. I think he's up for consideration ( I will not be too surprised if Benedict survives him).
-
Posed with two nuns, and one of them is clearly wanting his Holy Water all over her face.
-
I think these people are the most famous/impactful and should be on next year's list and stay there until they die: - The Queen - The two popes - The two 90+ US presidents It will be a colossal embarassment if the list misses any of these 5 people.

His updates are becoming to sound less like news and more like SNL Weekend Update punchlines. "In other news, Bob Dylan just won the Nobel Prize in literature, which means that it's only a matter of time before Robert Mugabe receives an honorary doctorate...*record scratch*...in food security?!!"

Well, if you want to get technical (and medical) about this, so far out of this year's Deathlist, only Fats Domino and Hugh Hefner have died of "natural causes".
-
If Gord Downie is, then absolutely yes. His stuff is both a swing/big band staple and an influence on rock and roll (he'a member of the RnRHoF by the way). He produced not only some of Fats bigger hits, but also for Elvis, Ricky Nelson, Shirley and Lee...He's also a cult name for years for being the oldest rocker alive (he'll be 99 this December).

I only wished death on two people on the Deathlist, and one of them - Ian Brady - is already dead, the other is Hosni Mubarak. Some of my long time favorites are on the Deathlist, some of them are gone now, and I wish the others would live as long and pain-free as possible. I'm also here for this site's wonderful and sarcastic take on a fate that awaits all of us. As for Kirk (and Olivia) I think it's amazing how those two Hollywood legends from the Golden era are not only with us, but are still enjoying life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5B7y8NUSqM

This is stupid! The man is 93 for God's sake! I volunteered at a nursing home and I can tell you that the behavior of 93 year old women there is much, much worse. He has a form of Parkinson's and it affects cognitive and mental capacities as well, and his guards warned the actress not to stand next to him, so they knew he is not in control of what he is doing anymore. Why are we even discussing this?!

Official statement The joke in question is: "You know who my favorite magician is? David Cop-a-feel!"

And to think that we could've had Fats as the record breaking hit, instead of Gord Downer. Ain't that a Shame. Anyway, the Reverend.

Accused from an actress I've never heard of of sexual assault http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/heather-lind-accuses-president-george-h-w-bush-sexual-assault-article-1.3586520

Just read the medical examination, Not often do you hear of a rock artist that he or she died "peacefully surrounded by friends and family". I am happy for him that he lived as long as he did, and on top of that died a peaceful death.

Fats Domino posing with some fans. Once asked if he got to meet The Beatles when they were in New Orleans, Fats Domino replied, "No, they got to meet me."

Who would have thought that a black man nicknamed "Fats" who had a hit number in the 40's will live until late October 2017? He was without a doubt not only a musical icon, but a cultural icon, the man most responsible for shattering racial barriers between whites and blacks by playing and being accepted by white audiences during a time where African American were still lynched and hanging from the highest trees for looking at a white woman. RIP. Ladies and gentlemen, once again, Mr. Fats Domino. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQQCPrwKzdo

etc....and msc's predition that The USA and Syria will qualify to the World Cup.

Recent pictures form his birthday celebration, looks healthier than almost all picks plus some of the posters here. Remind me why did they choose this guy again?

Happy birthday, your Majesty. May it not be your last, so that you can enjoy more time on this planet and frustrate more posters over here.

Next Years Deathlist Creativity Thread
Life Is Beautiful replied to msc's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
How can you miss Jeanne Moreau, Gisèle Casadesus and Danielle Darrieux! That's three great French leading ladies in one month! I say next year should have like three to five European actresses: Monica Vitti (A MUST) Gina Lollobrigida Sophia Loren Claudia Cardinale Brigitte Bardot... -
Biggest Misses By The Committee 2017
Life Is Beautiful replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList Forum
Are you really comparing the lead guitarist of a band that is only known to the public for its lead singer (here's how unimportant the other guys are: dude named it after himself!, no Marilyn Manson Band or anything, just Marilyn Manson!), a guitarist who left the band before they even hit their musical peak, to one of the greatest artists in history? Inarguably a top 10 artist in terms of influence and acclaim and the FIRST ONE to be included in the R&R Hall of Fame? I know this forum is sometimes a bit on the sarcastic side (and I love it) but COME ON PEOPLE! -
Biggest Misses By The Committee 2017
Life Is Beautiful replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList Forum
He wasn't, maybe because no one know who he is. And of course they're going to have Fats, he is a huge star and one of the very last pioneers of the formative years of rock and roll. How often do you have the chance of having a Deathlist pick who had a #1 R&B hit in the 40's? That's years before Elvis even knew how to hold a guitar. Plus, they have already missed Chuck Berry, so rest assure that they will keep Fats here until the end. And speaking of huge misses, Amy Winehouse is an obvious one. Yes, I understand she was only 27 but there was talk for like the last two years of her life that, lest she repends her ways, she was going to be the next member of the "27 club". She looked and sounded like a mess and I think it was not a huge shock when she died. In my opinion this is the kind of outside the box thinking that the Commitee should have more of. They should be brave enough to put walking human messes like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes on the Deathlist, and not people like Olivia de Havilland and Betty White who will probably outlive half of this forum's posters. -
Was using an oxygen tank yesterday.
