Yesterday was the first time in my nearly 52 years that I watched a live Commonwealth broadcast from our Head of State! (My PM is very healthy and could probably beat up most of the G8 leaders.)

That Vitamin D and immunity video by Dr John Campbell I've mentioned and shared elsewhere. I A tangential anecdote: three years ago I had a hard growth on my facial birthmark by my ear. A dermatologist worried it could be melanoma. A plastic surgeon removed the birthmark & growth, and it turned out to be osteoma cutis, which is not a blues singer or zydeco performer. The plastic surgeon told me that people who remain in their latitude, geographically speaking, don't tend to get melanoma. The darker-skinned people in my latitude do need more Vitamin D3 than the melanin-lacking pasty-face white European-ancestry types like me. i wouldn't be at a risk for melanoma in Seattle if my genetic ancestry is concentrated on the 47th parallel. The Somali and Eritreans who came to Seattle, they are more at risk of melanoma, in winter old people, and others with my skin tone are prone to Vitamin D3 deficiency. (I have since moved back to North 49, only the Covid-19 pandemic has me taking more Vitamin D3 than usual in April)

Where are UK residents getting up-to-date statistics on confirmed cases, recoveries and deaths? The websites I use show no change in recoveries since 23 March 2020: 135.

I too submitted a team, even though my prediction my opponent would get a hit happened (even if it hasn't yet an obit). Maybe a third of my April team will be subject to the Rackture. One can hope!

John Prine was a turn-of-the-year addition to both my 2020 Shadow List (signature) and my Death By Numbers 2020 list.

"Phil Phillips. Site wide solo and the Machine Gun Kelly bonus for a massive 106 points. " How can grobler have a site-wide solo when I scored 106 points using Phil Phillips in DSCDP funeral home Necronomicon Suh? Two others elsewhere on DSCDP hit with their P.P. Check the dashboard of the site.

No. Three weeks ago my friend and I were geocaching, gloveless, literally across the street from an assisted living facility that's now had 16 deaths from coronavirus, possibly spread by a worker who could have gone across the street on their breaks. The first death was announced two days after our cache visit. My friend lives alone and has hypochondriac tendencies. He is probably okay, but of course we're now limiting contact to telephone and email as advised. I am asymptomatic or uninfected. You don't know where your young coworker goes when she's not working, with whom she comes into contact. The coronavirus does not kill everybody who comes into contact with it. I believe the virologists who say 50-80% of us could have it and not know, or have symptoms so mild we won't be tested and ergo won't add to the growing number of confirmed cases. I believe the virologists who present age decile ranks of average risks -- a 32-year-old non-smoker in a fresh-air environment is in the same decile as a 38-year-old obese smoker with hypertension who lives in a polluted city. I believe the death rates are calculated from confirmed cases, and yes, both the death rates and confirmed cases are undoubtedly under-reported.

If you have recovered only very recently and the second wave cytokine storm hasn't yet made itself known, do take lots of Vitamin D3. A UK physician, Dr John Campbell, has an informational YouTube video in which he shows laypeople the correlation of adequate Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) stores in the body and the lesser impact of acute lung injury or upper respiratory infection, and explains the research findings of double-blind randomly controlled tests to those of us without statistical or medical expertise. I live north of the 45th parallel, and since my February 2008 pneumonia I take 5000 - 10000 IU Vitamin D3 daily from October through March.

You aren't. My cancer-suffering husband aroused himself from his sickbed to enter my bedroom to ask me if I had Albert Uderzo, which according to my ABC Deadpool list I do. On the ABC Deadpool III list I also have KENNY Rogers, whose death was a sensation over in the New World, and Genesis P-ORRIDGE. Since Jeffrey Epstein, he takes pleasure in my 'wake up' reaction learning I have a 'hit.' ETA: Albert Uderzo - 3 points; Kenny Rogers - (1 + 3 solo!), Genesis P-Orridge (2 bonus + 2) = 11 new

From 10 March to present I'm tracking six countries: Iceland, Norway, Canada, US, Australia and UK, daily confirmed cases, deaths, and recoveries, on a spreadsheet; also day to day rates of change for active cases and deaths. Sometimes I pretend it's a horse race or Olympics. The US was in tenth place overall for a while, and this past week it went from tenth to fourth place. Sometimes we chant "USA! USA!" as if it wants to beat Spain and Italy and grab the 'supremacy' title and rank from China. Australia and Canada are very close together for confirmed cases, but Canada has 50% more people than Australia has, so by capita Down Under has it worse. The UK started out fecked and continues to be fecked, but as of Friday the US has surpassed it in active cases % for population. Having 37 million people in 9.9 million square miles is good for social distancing. Canada has fewer confirmed cases than does the State of Washington (US, not the DC area, that evergreen area home to Amazon, Starbucks and Microsoft).

The Machine Stops by E. M. Forster The story describes a world in which most of the human population has lost the ability to live on the surface of the Earth. Each individual now lives in isolation below ground in a standard room, with all bodily and spiritual needs met by the omnipotent, global Machine. Travel is permitted, but is unpopular and rarely necessary. Communication is made via a kind of instant messaging/video conferencing machine with which people conduct their only activity: the sharing of ideas and what passes for knowledge. Online text here

I read that with Paul Singer buying a significant share in the company, Twitter's changing its name to Shitter.

The US climbed higher into the top ten - "USA! USA! US*coughcoughcoughwheezetopple" Australia and Canada are alternating positions day by day. What stats pages and dashboards are people following? I'm using coronavirus.jhu.edu and occasionally worldometers.info/coronavirus, less of the latter since some jokester entered 598,645 COVID-19 deaths in Vatican City

I am rooting for Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, whom I have in a death pool elsewhere.

I read, three-four weeks ago, one code monkey report a queue of 150 submissions. The DSCDP site is not their main source of income, and the committee is not an office-kitchen vote: international nonplayers as well as domestic comprise the approval committee. I had one submission approved, one most apologetically denied "please try this narrowly denied celebrity another time." Crossing my fingers on a submission that should have already been in the database, where his colleagues are.

I breathed on my 18-year-old before I left the home today to the pene-exclave. "Beats having a shot," he said.
