... indeed. Since Wednesday I was thinking the drought has been long. It's like watching a kettle boil, or paint dry, while other kettles one's not connected with whistle every two or three days with surprise celebrity deaths.

Vonda McIntyre? I went to a party at her house decades ago.

There goes my winning strategy. Anyone else holding off on submitting a team because of the Whirlwind Reaporama from March 14 to March 18, suspecting their opponents will score with four-plus hits from March 27 to the end of the month?

According to my list I have a hit in my Hitchcock-themed HPDP 2019 entry with the passing of Katherine Helmond. 5 7 points. BBC Obit

A shame Pedroza went so soon. If he'd hung on for another 24 hours I'd have had scored a birthday bonus on another death pool website.

My team's in too. Curious game theory situation though, as my potential opponent and I have a great deal of overlap in our February teams, and identical scores. It is possible my March matchup used similar research methods, and, pleased with succeeding to the next round, replicated them. Maybe it's going to come down to the coin flip or the cool name.

Someone should reply to her with: "I've just learned that Dame Vera Lynn's final words were 'Путин - хуесос'"

This might be misattributed, and actually could be Mark Hollis's solo recording

I've crushed on Hollis and loved his music since 1984. I even wrote to him. I am devastated. He died of cancer, apparently. Anyone want to see photos of his living room?

One of my DDP themed lists seems to be going in alphabetical order: Carol Channing, John Cocks (no QO), and now Stanley Donen. I should have looked at the list and voted on the DL 2019 for Kirk Douglas to be the Second Death.

None of the seven MPs resigning is on my list. I don't have any expectations beyond chance; the first hit always has frisson, and nicer to know that frisson is shared with eight other players.
-
With about 650 MPs it's tricky to follow their fortunes from half-the-planet away. I imagined this pool is my real-life manifestation of my recurring dream of registering for a history class and forgetting to attend it until seven weeks later: my first hit while the Brits enjoy 870 points already.

Longest dry spell I've had in a pool but I have a hit. Paul Flynn (checked thrice to confirm) MP for Newport West

Thanks, Joey. I have Ken Nordine in my list on another website with more participants than aodeadpool.org, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I have a site-wide solo there too for points galore. He's not in the pool with 197 people playing so I have hope.

Last week I shared an aodeadpool duet with Rosamunde Pilcher hit.

My first Random.org list randomizer yielded Vera Lynn at 1, Loretta Lynn at 2. I randomized again, and Vera Lynn was at 2, Loretta further down. I voted Vera Lynn. (This am I dreamed of receiving an email announcement of Gay Byrne's death. I don't have immediate recollection of choosing Byrne in any pools, nor Banks. It was interesting to me that the GB initials manifested in the dream but the name was incorrect.)

Paul Dewar is my wildcard hit in The Hares Death Pool

It's only because I'm a bettor and not a doctor that I would estimate Osbourne's creatophosphokinase levels to be elevated from muscle damage. Lung damage could lead to a pulmonary embolism. High blood pressure is a contributing factor, especially if it was high enough to require hospitalization.
-
If this is a motion the host is seriously considering, along with revealing the bonuses, I volunteer to randomize the team's host as I'm not participating this year and am disinterested.
-
This is the first year I submitted multiple theme teams to the Derby Dead Pool -- the Grim Reaper's been a busy egalitarian this month, taking one each from my lists.
-
I submitted my team, expecting early elimination like a night-time drink of magnesium citrate.

will the Queen visit the injured survivors? "We're sorry. He should have had a driver, no question..." -
dead Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

My grandmother emerged "unhurt" after the car her husband was driving turned over, and died an hour later of a massive heart attack. She was a year older than Prince Charles, very fit, and had longevity genes equal to that of the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II -- four of her sisters passed ninety years mark, one was a centenarian.
