Do we come up with team names to use for the entirety of our participation in the 2019 Deathlist Cup?
-
The landing page's <TITLE></TITLE> value should be updated to Deathlist 2019.

I knew of Dorothy Morrison only from this website. "Our Gang" members typically get a QO where I am -- Mildred Kornman (aka Ricki Van Dusen) has a good chance of a qualifying obit when she passes. The Little Rascal Pro Boards contributors haven't deleted Morrison from their list of surviving "OG"/"LR" cast. I'm happy my sub comes into play.

Well fudge. I should have looked at Dorothy Morrison's Wikipedia page and not just loitered about the forums. According to the page, Ms Morrison joined the choir invisible 18 October 2017.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Morrison_(actress) Dorothy Morrison seems to have died on October 18 2017.

I was reminded of Robin Gibb when I saw McCririck. I thought there'd be a decent chance of him being a hit on my Hare DP list.

Why oh why did I let Daryl slip from my 2019 lists...

Things To Do While Waiting For Death

Someone made a Sporcle Quiz already of Death List 2019 I scored 100%, as anyone here would. The average score was 4% when I tried it, five hours into 2019 UTC. -

Who, on the 2019 List, Would You Most Like to Meet?

Clive James. I watched "Fame in the 20th Century" on my first trip to London; I'd enjoy hours of his insights and anecdotes and literary criticism. -
I've done that. We have two boxes and the reason they're not already empty is because everyone is watching the other: "how many have you had? how many has everyone else had?" After Eights at our house are like a canteen of fresh water on a liferaft. Also, HAPPY NEW YEAR and many thanks to the DL admins and DP admins for their patience and hard work. Have an After Eight!

Random.org says Bob Dole.

substitutes submitted via PM, with gratitude. Happy New Year!

All my substitutes are deployed. May I refill my substitutes list before 20h00 31 Dec UTC?

I too was similarly uninspired. My two other theme teams are "Veddy Ready for Beddy" (UK-only) and "Are We Rolling?"

The doctors discovering the clots while the person still has a pulse can greatly reduce the risk of a fatal pulmonary embolism. Some doctors at Panasonic Hospital (yes, really) in Japan diagnosed my brother (younger than Jerry Dipoto) with asthma, three days before he died of a pulmonary embolism from blood clots in his lungs. Physical activity has no bearing on survival: my brother ran, lifted weights, swam, bicycled, did martial arts... lots of physical activity.

Dave Bartholomew, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, musician and songwriter of mid-20th-century classics "Blue Monday," "I'm Walkin'" and "My Ding-A-Ling", joined the 100 Club on 24 December 2018.

fun fact: his daughter Jacinta cut my hair at a mutual friend's house when we were in high school.

I feel like I doomed myself to a reprise of middling status in 2019: my list of 40 was 100% approved within 18 minutes and I have thirteen new entries, seven of those I learned about from frequenting deathlist.net. At least I'm not Team Bubba (who goes 362 days hitfree in a year where a POTUS, FLOTUS, a US Senator with terminal brain cancer, and a bedridden nonagenarian high profile evangelist seem like sure bets in a team of forty?).

about rules 11 and 12: My understanding is that list members who kick it before 1 Jan 0h00 UTC 2019 do not earn points. I also understand that editing Deathrace 2019 lists is punishable by a five-year participation ban. I see that the last days of 2018 are popular for centenarians to topple. If, for example, I submitted a list at 20h00 28 Dec 2018 UTC and a member of that list's obituary surfaced on 30 Dec 2018, I would not earn points. But if I attempted to supply a replacement before the submission deadline, thereby editing my list, I would be punished by a five-year participation ban, is that correct? (Nervously glancing at some centenarians on her list)

Sent in three themed teams for 2019, best things about them are the list names. Have 'buyer's remorse' missing one, and I might (fingers crossed) have one or two unique picks.
