What is "woke" about replacing natural fats with industrially processed, possibly hydrogenated, seed oils? That seems cheap and duplicitous. Is a natural foods diet antithetical to "Woke" practice?

My brother died suddenly at age 44 from a pulmonary embolism. Maybe Thomas Kingston died from a pulmonary embolism or another undisclosed or undiagnosed ailment. It does seem to me that people nowadays are dying younger: my husband died at age 52 from cancer complications, my mother at age 58 from cancer, I lost two friends within the last two years to kidney failure, both in their fifties, at least one of them died suddenly. I suppose the closer and more numerous the losses are, the stronger the cognitive bias. Everyone who is active and over the age of 65 seems to me to have intrinsic longevity factors my friends and family did not.

Today I came across a Find A Grave page for Silas Hathaway, who until 2017 had been the last living cast member of "The Kid" (1921). Not many actors survive their last film by 96 years.

I admit my 2024 death pool lists are about volume and not points, as I devised a reward system weighted by the size of my lists (the shorter the list, the bigger the reward). Even if my entire list died in January I'd have set some points-independent legend and accrued enough personal rewards to not care about the impossibility of topping the ranks with points.
