Terrorists & Topical Terrorist Targets
prussianblue replied to maryportfuncity's topic in DeathList Forum
I recently learned that Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has a (Soviet) PhD, which he earned with a thesis entitled 'The Connection between the Nazis and the Leaders of the Zionist Movement'. His central argument is not that the Holocaust didn't happen per se, but that Zionist leaders were active partners of the Nazis in carrying it out. Plus the usual denial of the figure of 6 million victims. -
Decent reviews for the opening night of the tour and she looks great. We'll see how she manages with the other 77 dates.

Ah yes, the list MSPs, the bag-carriers and careerists too ugly or untalented to even contest a constituency seat on their own merits. -

She got 46.4% in 2019, more than the Labour and Conservative vote combined (22.7% and 21.2% respectively). Boundary changes are removing Lesmahagow, so it's going to be East Kilbride that determines the numbers, and that was a Labour seat before the 2010s SNP dominance set in. Rutherglen is 6 miles from East Kilbride, and we saw how the Tory vote went there last week! -

Was just reading the BBC article on this. Ideologically inconsistent, to say the least, and unlikely to ensure career longevity. A massive fuck you to her constituents too. -
Already posted in the Italian thread, but for completeness, Toto Cutugno, winner in 1990 and co-host in 1991, dead at 80: https://www.ansa.it/english/news/lifestyle/arts/2023/08/22/singer-songwriter-toto-cutugno-dies-at-80_a15833a2-50da-4a2d-8b57-8cf7c6c8432c.html

Correction, he won Eurovision in 1990 with the song 'Insieme: 1992'. Was a co-host of the following year's contest in Rome, a notoriously shambolic production.

Sad about this one. Mrs Warboys was a brilliant character. First of the main cast to go too.

Brother of the considerably more famous Peri, Roz in Frasier.

Well enough to be attending Beyoncé concerts with her kids. Tbh I think she looks a lot better than she did before the trip to hospital.

At least, unlike Rishi, he knows that you can simultaneously travel more sustainably and do work. -
If 'Go woke, go broke' were true, surely the Torygraph would be in rude health?

Terence Stamp is 85 today. -
Went with the Wikipedia articles cast lists and completely forgot about her. Perhaps that shows my aversion to child actors, but she was admittedly pretty good.

With the death of Jane Birkin, the list of survivors from the classic all-star Poirot films shrinks further. Those left now are: Murder on the Orient Express (1974) Dame Vanessa Redgrave (1937 - ) Michael York (1942 - ) Jacqueline Bisset (1944 - ) Death on the Nile (1978) Dame Maggie Smith (1934 - ) Mia Farrow (1945 - ) Lois Chiles (1947 - ) Olivia Hussey (1951 - ) Evil Under the Sun (1982) Dame Maggie Smith (1934 - ) Emily Hone (1966 - ) There was considerable overlap between the casts, with Birkin in both Death on the Nile and Evil Under the Sun. Funny that the most recent is the one closest to a wipeout. Edit: forgot Emily Hone.

No surprise, in his official photo from 2017 on his Wiki article he looks dreadful.
-
Aww, sad about this one. As mentioned above, fantastic in Evil Under the Sun.

Surely that Stephen Nolan guy is the most overpaid relative to how many people actually see or hear them? I'd never even heard of him until one of these earnings lists got published, and he's somehow deemed to be on the same level as Huw Edwards, Fiona Bruce, etc.?

Actor David Graham is 98 today. -
Literally just saw this second one. Not workplace harassment if they met via Grindr/Tinder/whatever, rather than at the BBC. Honestly, a closeted guy getting shirty with some twink threatening to out them is a pretty low bar for El Scandalo.

Lavish lifestyle and the possibility of becoming Lady or Baroness Johnson at some point? I agree though, I'd be needing a bucket beside the bed.

A Palmer of Huntley and Palmers biscuits, no less.

Latest I've heard is that it started when he/they (are they confirmed as male yet?) was 18, i.e. a legal adult, and it was via OnlyFans, i.e. a legal platform. So in sum, this 'scandal' entails Adult A giving Adult B money for consensual services rendered. What Adult A's family situation is, what Adult B chooses to spend the money on, and what their parents think of things are whole other matters.

Statement posted on Instagram. Fairly optimistic about recovery timescales and fulfilling tour commitments. Not sure if the photo posted with it is her current look, but if so she's looking more like her natural self, but also a bit like Italian prime minister Giorgia Meloni.
