I don't like it. Strangely institutional look to the exterior, rambling extensions, mismatched windows. Interior is somewhat bland.

That's the family selling up the site of Tom's martyrdom. I suppose they've got to make back what they sunk into the spa somehow!

Beg to differ on that one. Zionism is one of the stupidest ideologies. -
Shirley Jones pictured celebrating her 90th birthday today with her sons. The Jack Cassidy genetics showing through very strongly!

Two for one on form-spotting, pictured having dinner with Joan Collins. Quite a lot of layers on but maybe they were about to leave? Or he's just like every other nonagenarian and permanently cold.

I can't take him seriously as someone I know has fucked Owen and said he was crap in bed -
Haven't heard this for years. One of those songs that were ubiquitous as incidental music in programmes like A Place in the Sun, like Groove Armada's 'At the River'.

That's something then. Maybe it'll convince a few that he isn't the drooling wreck he's made out to be. God knows he needs to shift a few percentage points in the right direction.

Was the State of the Union such a bore that nobody here watched it to see how Biden coped with an hour-long performance? As far as I can glean from reports he didn't forget who he was, shit himself or declare war on anyone, so it can be chalked up as a success.

Does your uncle think it's the Mark of the Beast or summat? -
I've just learned that Cuban revolutionary and Che Guevara's widow Aleida March is still alive at 87. I've searched and can't find any prior reference to her on the forums.

Four - Sharon and Louis, Fern, Levi Roots. Have heard of 'Ekin-Su', but had no idea who or what they were. Impressed that out of a pretty large ensemble cast they've still managed to get someone from Heartstopper that even fans of the show struggle to recognise.

Recently celebrated being 102 and a half.

I did a uni module on nationalism and multiculturalism in Canada, taught by (of course) a left-wing Canadian academic, so I got an unusually in-depth instruction in the supposed evils of Mulroney

That's quite the collection of policy stances and dogwhistles. He's a right-wing petite bourgeois reactionary if you take any of it at face value. Love the mental image of him performing citizens arrests on grooming gang members. Maybe he can do it in a catsuit and be a Rochdale-based superhero? -
Do you check under your bed for Harry and Meghan each night?

Maybe it's a pegging injury.

With the death of Jacob, we have a new Baron Rothschild, his only son Nathaniel. Frankly sounds a bit dodgy in his business dealings, but he does have a champion racehorse named after him.

Dual (or more) mandates were the norm in France. MPs would commonly also be local mayors, and there was huge overlap between local, regional, national and European representation in different combinations. -

Salmond was indeed an MP while simultaneously being an MSP. Between 2007 and 2010 he was an MP and First Minister. In his case he was representing more or less the same constituents, just with different parliamentary mandates, which doesn't strike me as too much of an issue. Current Scottish Tory leader/waste of space Douglas Ross is an MP and MSP. Somewhat farcically he became leader before he had a seat in Holyrood, so had to use Ruth Davidson as a sort of proxy for a year. He has a third job as a professional football referee. -
Potentially autistic Scottish faggot here

Curb started in 2000, so the pedantic response is that this belongs in the 21st century American sitcoms thread

I'm going to see an opera about Robert the Bruce tomorrow. The Earl wrote a sort of foreword for the website about it, as he's the current Bruce clan chief.

My soon-to-be septuagenarian mother is an NCIS fan. I believe she watched Man from U.N.C.L.E. as a child, so the presence of McCallum was probably appreciated.

Given that our country has become a reactionary, stagnating, polluted, crumbling, asset-stripped, neoliberal hellscape, they aren't doing a very good job.
