    Aristocrats

Grim snippet from Wiki re. the 1st Baron Davies: 'In 1944, while launching a new X-Ray mobile scanning unit at Sully Hospital...Davies volunteered to undergo the first routine chest scan. The scan revealed advanced cancer from which he died from a few months later in June 1944.' The 2nd Baron Davies only held the title for 3 months.

    Alexey Navalny

You need to reverse your logic. You could bump the guy off the second he returns, when he's all over the news and a cause celebre with the west. Or you could wait. You're a dictator, you have the luxury of time. Give it a few years, let the interest wane, move him to increasingly remote prisons far from anyone who cares. Then one day, you quietly dispose of him. Which approach would you take?

    Alexey Navalny

Fair enough, Patrushev's son is in cabinet, at that bastion of sinister state power, the Ministry of Agriculture. The Telegraph isn't a quality paper any more, just a rag filled with right-wing fever dreams. I'm sure they'd love the idea of Patrushev Snr., possibly the most hawkish member of the government, plotting against Putin, but it would hardly aid his cause. What opposition? What channels are there for discontent at Navalny's inevitable death to make any tangible difference? As far as the average Russian knows or cares, some troublemaker from a few years ago is now permanently out of sight and mind.

    Alexey Navalny

You really are an idiot, aren't you? What UK media is constantly saying this? Any examples? The big flaw in your claim is that, while Putin is speculated to have a couple of secret infant sons with the gymnast mistress, he certainly doesn't have any publicly acknowledged adult sons, let alone any with cabinet posts. Killing Navalny now isn't such a bad idea. Putin's position isn't in any serious doubt, and Navalny has been neutralised for a long time now. I always thought his genuine appeal to the Russian people (beyond the urban elite) was massively overstated anyway.

Surprised we don't have any discussion of actual results from noted psephologist Sir Old Crem?

This is my mental association with him too. He always looked sweaty, so I can't imagine his cardiovascular health was very good.

The Tory candidate is about as hopeless as your predictions.

Wouldn't be so bad if it also ended with the characters all getting gunned down.

Septic tanks get a vote now? I suppose they see Trump as one of their own.

    Joe Biden

You really need to get better at sources. Some obscure Italian journalist posts a photo of a couple of paragraphs littered with casual errors like 'London Times' and Kohl being addressed as 'president'. Where has this alleged quote come from? Attributed to 'WH official pool reporting', whatever that is, but would that really look like this amateur rubbish that seems framed to make Biden look like an idiot?

    King Charles III

Tbf to Yama, your exact wording is a literal statement that he was the last: 'He needs to go to November to beat Richard III who was the last King to be buried in this country.....'

    Engelbert Humperdinck

Interesting choice of collaborator. They must have met when Engelbert did Eurovision in Baku. Emin also happens to be the son of a billionaire oligarch and the former son-in-law of the Azeri president/dictator.

Sad that we're in a position where someone as colossal a failure as Truss has any influence whatsoever, let alone one claiming the mantle of 'popular' conservatism.
