Well, not entirely, she's famous first and foremost because she's a drug smuggler who got caught in Indonesia, and because she's an old grandmother, and not your typical drug dealer. She'd still be famous if she was in jail on a life sentence, not death row (albeit possibly slightly less famous). Seems like a bit of a grey area - who has the final say on these matters?
