He did a great Desert Island Discs where he, as the great children's book Snowman author, tried to explain politely that he did not like bloody children, had never wanted any and barely put up with those in his family and only did so in the knowledge he did not have to take them home. Very funny.

Well if nothing else this shows how little I know about modern women. Most of the ones I have known spent their time trying to or talking about reducing the size of their arses and certainly not increasing them in size. The world changes by the minute......

What are the drink and drive rules for wheelchairs?

Just looked up lip cancer and the first result says it is "most frequently occurring in fair-skinned males over the age of 50". Makes me wonder what sort of hormonal based beauty treatment she uses to stay looking good at 80.

4th best selling song in the UK ever. Gold in Germany and elsewhere. Horrendous but true. Don't you just love the general public and popular taste.

Within the last 15 days 3 singers/musicians died who had a No.1-hit in the German singles charts back in the days:
07.01.2018 France Gall: 1988 with Ella elle l'a
15.01.2018 Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries): 1995 with Zombie
15.01.2018 Edwin Hawkins (Singers): 1969 with Oh Happy Day
Which act with a No.1-hit in the 70s is next to complete this row???
Wings - Mull of f#*@ing Kintyre. 1977. Goodbye Mr P McCartney. Or Denny Laine I should add.

Anyone got Ant McPartlin on suicide watch yet? Lots of stuff going downhill fast in his life.

In any case, heirs to the throne are no longer barred from marrying Catholics. The 2013 Act that changed the rules of succession also removed that bar.
You are right though that the Sovereign may not be a Catholic. That's because s/he is also head of the Church of England.
I also discovered that her first given name is Rachel, which I think is a much nicer name than the ugly, clunky (and misspelt) Meghan.

Look at Debretts, the English Queen is descended from the Prophet Mohammed via Edward the Fourth is it?
Can't hide the half caste aspect, but they did force her to not be a Catholic anymore.
Jew, Muslim, atheist, Buddhist, JW etc all allowed to be in cherge of the Throne. Only one Faith debarred.
Only one Faith debarred. And we are after you.............................................

His grandfather was Danish and was invited by the Greeks to be their King.
His grandmother was Russian.
His mother was German, but descended from one of Queen Victoria's daughters and born at Windsor Castle.
It's always been amusing to refer to him as 'Phil The Greek' though.
The royal families of Europe are more inbred than an average family from Alabama.

More flavours to the ice cream. Hagen Daas missed a trick.

They are German/Greek. Not been an English monarch for a couple of hundred of years. An African American in the mix will add some needed new genes. But not that interesting really.

Question: if William decided NOT to be king, would the title go to William`s Oldest child, or to Harry and his future children?
William's kids. But if they die without having children then it goes to the illegitimate Harry and his soon to be yank missus.

Not heard that one. The one I remember is:

There was a very sick joke when his son died. Wonder if he will be honoured with the same.

Not sure this belongs here. But Aussie flu and the sudden increase in flu in the UK this week might help get some people off to a flying start this year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-42652675

BBC World Service did a lovely documentary on her life and music a week or so ago. No new interviews with her. So that is her gone then.
