Don’t think Elton will die before her. Really surprise and happy that Joni looks fine though, she may reach 85 ?
-
fixed that now, sorry, should be working ! If you wish to keep your current list, please notify it or else you won't be included for next year round
-
Suggested her a few times on here as a fan myself of 50-60´s actresses. Sad and didn’t think she would be the next among all the living 90 hollywood actresses
-
If anyone has some has any suggestion to improve the Game next year, feel free to share ! I was thinking at some point to add the bonus points of the DDP (party pooper, solo hit and unnatural deaths) but I doubt it would add anything interesting here

We have a winner here… Congrats to @gcreptile who wins this year twisted deathlist with a total of 16 points !! hits being : Roland R. Griffits, Johnny Ruffo, Chris Stone, Shane McGowan, Franz Beckenbauer, Jonnie Irwin, Charlie Bird, Thomas P. Stafford, Josip Manolic, Frank Field, Rob Burrow, Simon Cowell, Jane McAlevey, Ismail Haniyeh, Paul Harrell and David Graham honorable mention to the three who tied for second place : @Book, @Commtech Sio Bibble and @WEP ! A little insight about the current rules : no one fell into the obit watch category this year as the qualifying obits are purposely quite numerous and not English-speaking restricted, hence allowing a great variety of picks. That said, to help me in my task of summing-up the hits, I would recommend to check regularly your front page list, or have your own published in the new thread and provide a proper obit when an obscure pick of yours die, I'd greatly appreciate it ! The next edition of the game will begin in a week, on the 25th of October, to avoid any famous pick (ahem Carter) to be missed between the edition. Entries are now opened by pm. If you wish to use your current list, you can notify it either on this thread or by pm. For any newcomers, rules are on the first page of this thread and will be summed up in the new one, soon to be created. You can obviously change your current list and send a new one, it's up to you. If I made any mistake, forgetting some hit on the front page lists, please notify it to me and I'll add the related points. The next edition will likely end on the 1st of November 2025, thus being a little more than a year, just because I like round numbers. You can make a list of 4 or 5 subs in case any of your main list picks dies before the game starts but only the top 3 subs will be taken into consideration for the next edition lists. Hope everything is clear. Thanks a lot to all of you for participation this year, I hope next year's gonna be as fun

We live in a world where Carter outlived Liam Payne.

Oh my…. Damn
-
Did Carol Burnett has* a stroke at some point ? Something’s weird with her mouth and speaking abilities recently. Could be just age but definitely sounds frailer than she used to. * we don’t say did she had, right ?

Doesn’t look too good here

I'd like to propose a new forum game : Just like the "how many hit this year" everyone who wants to participate has to take a number of days from 1 (tomorrow) to 60 (approximately 2 months) : the number chosen corresponds to the number of days between 2 deaths. The days of death are the one which appear on the official deathlist : for example, if someone had picked 20 when Kirk died, then he would have win since Mubarak died on the 25th of February (only logical) At the end of the 2 months, if no one has died, then we'll all have to chose another number and wait for it. a number can't be taken by 2 differents persons. I think it's pretty clear, but if you have any suggestion please let me know.

Don’t know if this the right thread : name two former picks who died in a car crash -
21st of december and that’s all
-
Is she on thé immortal list already ?
-
I predict the grim reaper is going to confound sceptics and be its most powerful yet like a super strong enema in 2024 moreso than recent years equalling or even beating 2020

As I said in the Kennedy thread, here is my opinion (not that anyone cares but…) -
if Carter, Chomsky or Woodward die before the year's over, I'd be quite bored and angry. I want 2025 to be a massacre and now that we know this list will end up with a disastrous score anyway, I hope to save the maximum of picks to break a record next year. Them dying so close to the end would feel like a waste honestly. Hence why I wanted Kennedy to pull through. And while we can't break a record for the best, let's break a record for the worst and end up with only 5 hits. That would be ridiculously fun instead of finishing with an average 10 or so
-
well, just saw the news, thought I would be the first. Anyway my previous post was wrong, great pick, a little sad she couldn't pull through as she seemed a good person and I would have loved to have another immortal on the list. 5th hit, will there be more ?

André Jobin, called JOB, Swiss co-creator of very popular comic Yakari dead at 96. I grew up reading Yakari and watching the animated series, didn't know the creator was still alive or that old, good memories… -
anyway, new photos. Looks ok all things considered but the duchess is wheelchair bound apparently
-
Don’t know Why but I can’t see her dying before 2025. I think we’re due another lingerer at this point to be sure that 2025 is gonna be a disaster
-
As I reported on the thoughts and opinions about the 2024 list earlier, he was absent from the OIF summit a few days ago which raised a lot of question about his health. No smoke without fire I’d say, probably a good contender for next year list
-
well… just mentioned him in the other thread and he his undergoing medical test for lung infection at the moment, second time this year. Did I jinxed him ?

Well, as everyone is doing it now and I have nothing better to do of my day… Keep : Carter DVD Greenspan Ethel Kennedy Cleo Laine Noam Chomsky Mel Brooks Dennis Skinner Starmer-Smith Whale Baxter Woodward Hackman Le Pen Law Nolan Norman Tebbitt Willie Nelson Esther Rantzen Roberta Flack Castro Marcos Buzz Aldrin Sonny Rollins Drops : Pete Murray Robert Wagner Routledge Eastwood Redgrave Morris Blix Walters Brokaw Louis Farrakhan Barenboim Dick Cheney Robert Duvall Josef Fritzl Ted Turner Sly Stone Tom Baker Joe Bugner those I can't decide on and who I hope will stay in the event we have a few more hits in the keep section : Pope Francis : frail and old, but not in immediate danger for me, but he's the pope so I wouldn't mind if he stays in… Sandy Gall : could be a drop because I don't care and I feel like I'm not the only one, though he's old and unheard off apparently Prunella Scales : looks great but 8th appearance on DL, they won't drop her and at that age and with that illness, I understand them Brigitte Bardot : sounded frail in her interviews for her birthday, she said herself that she was not her best and the fact she refuses medicine at that age is a bad idea imo bring back : Liza Minelli Emperor Akihito Douglas Hurd David Attenborough Angie Dickinson Yoko Ono Add : Amartya Sen : old, frail, wheelchairbound, few death hoaxes in the last few years, would suggest something is on… Eva Marie Saint : why is she not on the dam list ? Tippi Hedren : dementia sufferer, unable to remember her Hollywood career, a must for 2025 Vera Miles : classic Hollywood pick, between her and Kim Novak I'd choose the oldest Frank Gehry : far too underrated pick imo, recently interviewed in France : has lost a good amount of weight and looks real old… Franki Valli : frail, old, famous Don King : recent health problem suggest he might go sooner than later Quincy Jones : old legend, quite overlooked imo Joan Plowright : as discussed, supposedly ill and old Paul Biya : that's Paul Biya, oldest working head of state and very DL pick imo, recently absent from the OIF summit which raised questions concerning his health Michael Tilson Thomas : classic ill pick King Salman : supposedly really ill, now beginning to be real old too, can't see why not Jose Mujica : ill, frail, forum-favorite at this point Lee Grant : 99 A list actress, her and Eva Marie Saint deserves a spot for their age and fame Sidney Cook : old, frail, supposed to be already dead Judi Dench : I always thought she looked frailish, wouldn't bet 100% on her dying next year but wouldn't bet 100% she'll survive the year also June Spencer : apparently British legend who's far too old to be overlooked once again Léontyne Price : Opera legend, now really old, that's all unfortunately, I'm guessing she's gonna be ignored once again though Georges Soros : old, obese, has looked like a corpse for the last 10 years imo, would be time he makes his debut … and Bernadette Chirac : why not ? the fact she's still alive is a miracle in itself, it's not taking too much risk with this one
-
Don’t know Why but she strikes me as the kind who could die soon… just a gut feeling, but I have the Same with Bardot
-
Wouldn’t drop Aldrin who looked frailer than usual in his last appearance and he’s too big to miss at 95 next year. Raul Castro, Imelda Marcos, and Willie Nelson I’d keep to. I’d drop Turner, Barenboim, Eastwood and Morris instead. I’d bring back Liza Minelli, Emperor Akihito, Angie Dickinson (and Maybe Rondsadt ?) with the others you mentioned
