I think Baker is not a death door, I dropped him for next year. If I remember correctly he has just been brought to the forum attention last year because of his emaciated look but expect that (and his hospitalization which I never heard off ?) he doesn’t seem at death door, still outside recently and his health seems greatly exagerated id you want my opinion. He’s just a forum favorite

I get that the 25 new candidate rule is useful but it’s quite frustrating, 21 candidates to drop is a huge amount and I expect several drops to die next year. Therefore the score of a list is determined by how good the previous list has been which is frustrating. Maybe 10 new candidates is enough ?

Fritzl, Turner, Brokaw, Blix, Cheney, Stone, Baker, Bugner, maybe Routledge (and even Pope Francis ?) could be dropped imho Along with the obvious Walters
-
wouldn't mind Angie Dickinson being brought back to the list next year…
-
seems more alert than a few weeks or months ago. I think once he's retired, he could have more years

I know it's a shock, don't get me wrong, he was an A-List celeb I know that, but I feel like his death receives more media coverage and reaction than the one of Delon for example, which seems quite odd to me… maybe it's due to its age and unexpectedness… edit : he did receive a Mirror obit btw, not that it's important as he wasn't a ddp pick but still
-
no for these two, agree with the others
-
I didn't think it would get so much media coverage : all the tv channel and newspaper are live about it, the Elysee has published a statement, so did Macron and the PM. Anyway, he died from cardiac arrest after an anaphylactic shock in reaction to medication injected during a medical examination. Wonder which one of the Splendid's troup will be the next one to go ? After Pierre Christin yesterday, another French A-lister gone by tomorrow ? These news probably belong in the French speaking deathlist though but anyway, I get that it's becoming a French topic here, I don't mind

Put them all on the immortal list

Supposedly last photo of Maggie at a restaurant a week before her death. Looked pretty good, it must have been sudden then as could be suspected by the fact she died at the hospital
-
I really hope he dies soon, not only for the DL final score but this is not a condition to be living in… + nobody seems to notice him in the video, except the man in the green shirt who tells him what's going on

I’ve never been much interest in this case BUT my sister’s best friend’s dad was one of the neurosurgeon who worked on Schumacher When he was first admited to hospital in my hometown in the Alpes. What he told my sister is that he could never leave coma and that he didn’t understand his family’s choice cause there was no escape. Make of that What you want…

Honestly it’s not worth making prediction at this point, he could linger for months (even though I don’t think he’ll make 2025) or drop dead tomorrow. The only thing that fascinate me is How could he still be alive in that condition ? Also, I doubt all the things Jason Carter said about him talking politics and everything are real…

Wishing Carter a happy birthday in this video : doesn’t seem too bad

Among many others : Vera Lynn, Oscar Niemeyer, Ninette de Valois, Albert Hoffman, Javier Perez de Cuellar, Georges Schultz and Closer to us Norman Lear, Kissinger, Glynis Johns… actually the only list to not have a single centenarian on it (since 2000) is 2022
-
Supposedly new video ? Will stay on my shadow list for next year, wonder how he is still alive

Interesting bits (If I may see, nothing new ofc) : “I don’t know what keeps him going,” Jason Carter said. “I think he doesn’t know how to give up on anything.” But he added that he worried that his bedbound grandfather was no longer having new experiences. “He’s so physically diminished,” Jason Carter said. “I just worry that he’s not enjoying himself. He has become severely diminished physically. There are days when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren travel to Plains only to be told that he is not able to see them. “When she passed, we all frankly thought that he wouldn’t be much longer,” said Jason Carter, another grandson and the board chairman of the Carter Center, the philanthropic institution founded by the former president and first lady. “And I think he had a real low period for a while. But these last few months, he’s really gotten re-engaged with the world.” Is this the first time they clearly state that he is bed bound or am I missing something ?

What are the odds of them releasing a new photo of Jimmy ?

In honour of one of the most unexpected and astonishing performance in DL history, here is a small compilation of post that didn't age well at all : and some gems about him never, ever turning 100 : He can't. He is the embodiement of the sentence « never say never ». Watch him prove me wrong and do a Betty White, Zsa Zsa by dying today…
