Maybe something that would be Nice would be to have one pick that could be left to the vote of forum members. Putting a pole in december and including the winner onto the main list.

    Who are the immortals?

Pierre Ménès, french football commentator has suffered from Nash cirrhosis for all of his Life before having a kidney transplant in 2016. He was on his deathbed and said himself that « a few days more and he would have been dead ». Constantly hospitalized last year and was accused of sexual harrasment by several women in 2020 which ended his career. Take a look at him before and after the transplant

    Ideas and possibilities for 2024

Well, now it’s Time to unveil some of my AO picks : - Sébastien Haller (b. 1994) : french ivorian football player diagnosed with testicles cancer and has underwent some opérations recently. Has gone worryingly quiet on social media since november. - Catherine Laborde (b. 1951) : french weathergirl with Body Lewy Dementia and is said to be on her last leg - Jean Lassalle (b. 1955) : french politician and several Time candidate at the presidential election. Has undergone 4 heart operation last year without much success as it is said that he still have cardiac problem. Has gone quite quiet since. - Adrien Quattenans (b. 1990) : the riskier one. French politician and member of La France Insoumise. Was accused of domestic violence by his ex wife recently and lost his job in the party he was. Cancelled everywhere. Is not welcome to the Assemblée nationale anymore. Might commit suicide as he’s known to be quite « passionate » and impulsive. - Tristan Waleckx (b. 1983) : another risky one. French journalist. I heard from several people that he has terminal cancer. Would make sense as he was one of the two french journalist in Fukushima at the Time of the incident. Still really active though. - Daniel Baremboim (b. 1930) : argentine born conductor Who suffers from an unspecified neurodegenerative illness. - Michel Coté (b. 1950) : canadian actor Who is waiting for a kidney transplant and other ailments. I expect one or two of them to to this year.

I don’t get it. Where are Whale, Chirac, Vialli, Alagiah, Minnelli, Farrakhan. They seem quite tired of doing it, it seems…

I think she went downhill mentally (can't have interview anymore for example) but physically, judging from this photo only, she looks good. She may well see her 119th birthday (unless I jinxed her)

New photo of Lucille Randon for her 2023 greeting card. Shared « exclusively » for the facebook group I’m a member of (woops). She looks really great I think. Apparently she chose the setting herself

    Twisted DL 2022-2023

Well I missed the death of Lando Buzzanca I'm sorry… It was a point for Summer in Transylvania and CaptainChorizo @Summer in Transylvania : Rolf Harris in at n°8 please choose another sub @CaptainChorizo : Roberta Flack in at n°7 (I switched Rolf Harris and Flack since he didn't change anything. Sorry for the misunderstanding, Siiri Rantanen as sub 2 and you still have to replace Pope Benedict as sub 3)

    Twisted DL 2022-2023

well why do you want to replace Rolf Harris ? Pope Bennie in (before his death) as sub 3 and Rolf Harris in the official list at n°10. You don't have to replace Rolf Harris.
  15. Lafaucheuse

    Pope Benedict XVI

I’m so mad at them for having dropped him. From the very beginning we knew it was a risky choice. It is a miss. Barbara Walters is à miss too of course but Pope Benedict should have been up there with Carter, Kissinger and Barker.

    The Popes' Pool

It was meant to happen at some point so here is the Benedict vs. Francis poll : between Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI) and Jorge Mario Bergoglio (current Pope Francis), who will be the last one standing ? Even if I can see Benedict going first due to his age and frailness, can Francis recent health scares surprise us all and kill him before his predecessor ? Let your voice be heard. Having two popes alive at the same time is a historical situation : it only happened during the Avignon Papacy even though the legitimacy and title of Avignon's popes is still questioned. The only pope who stepped down before Benedict was Pope Gregory XII in 1315 but even back then, they waited for him to die in 1317 to elect a new pope. There was never two popes living at once. Could this brief summary (and Francis' frailness) be consistent enough to prove to the committee the need to have them both on the list for next year ? We'll see.

All of that because Romanian police find him after he responded to Greta Thunberg (whom he made fun of on Twitter) in a video in which he had a Romanian box of pizza. Here are the tweets of Greta Thundberg. Delightful.
