Yeah I see, I may not know nothing more that Bob Sinclar and Jarre about electronic music that’s why

ETA:
This was my introduction to them, 30-odd years ago.
Am I too young to know him ? I never heard if him but it seems to be a big news...

I thought at Christmas when he left Hospital on Christmas Eve he wouldn’t last long as he looked like they had dug him up but he is still here almost 5 months later and obviously still has some fight and grit in him. I think he probably has another 2 or 3 years in him.
I won’t say 2 or 3 years but I can see him reaching his 100th birthday yes !

On 28/04/2020 at 15:10, TomTomTelekom said:so far, there have been a maximum of 22 days between the deaths this year
1st death Terry Jones on 22th January and then again exactly 22 days between death of P-Orridge and Honor Blackman.
So from a mathematical point of view, the next hit could happen soon, on 4th May at the latest.
last day and it seems like we will have to wait a bit more than usual…

Do you think it could be a 2008 situation again ? (A lot Of deaths within 4 months, and then nothing for a LONG while)
I am not used to wait that long between two deaths this year, hurry up

This thread isn’t supposed to be hurtfull to anyone here, sorry if you felt that way. You have your opinion, we have ours, let’s see who was right by the end Of the year

18 minutes ago, roaming_comrade said:Only ever vision I ever had was Herman Wouk dying 10 days before his birthday but only because the dates fit so well
The only vision I ever had is when I posted a message on the 3rd hit poll this year, saying that I was feeling Kirk Douglas would go soon. He probably died in the same time I posted that due to his death being reported 10 hours later. IT FELT SO STRANGE, but that doesn’t make me a visionary however...

27 minutes ago, Steve said:What a crazy question !!! None of course. I trust my visions. I will expect a big round of applause from all of you on December 31st when I will have proved to be correct.
I really really doubt there won’t be any hit during the 8 remaining months. Did your « visions » Ever proved to be right ?

Watching the 1967 Bonnie and Clyde adaptation, I realised a lot of famous faces are still with us and deserve a consideration for next year :
-Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty (doubt they are going anywhere soon though)
- Gene hackman : 1930
- Estelle Parsons : 1927
- Laurence Badie : 1928

I don’t know why but i have the strong feeling that a new hit is coming...

2 minutes ago, Sean said:Just learnt he died of COVID-19.Makes him the second oldest death from the virus after Hilda Churchill unless I am overlooking anyone.
fuck I just red it… if there wasn't the virus, who knows how long he could have last again ? I'm really sad to hear that he died from it actually…

28 minutes ago, The Brain said:I agree with that, but another big problem is the way the Committee leans on several people until they die of old age.
It's just cyber-squatting their names. They picked Kirk Douglas 18 times until he couldn't hang on anymore. That's a no-skill game.
Names should be permanently retired after 6 tries.I don't agree with that. I think that it's pretty interesting to see how long a person can go on : Kirk made his first appearance in 1997, and in the 18 following years, we all wondered if it was his time or if he could still hang on a year. His end was the end of an era. With your rule, we wouldn't have those "big names" anymore, the ones that cause you to cry a little when they pass (Zsa-Zsa, Kirk, Clive Dunn…). Plus, following your rules, we would have missed some big deaths or people in their 100 like Olivia, Vera or Kirk so…
edit : plus the game is sufficiently complicated, the committee struggles to have 20 hits on 50 so adding this rule would just lower the number of hits… maybe they can add it when they have 25/50 hits per year !
