Slight bump to keep this quite useful thread on the first page... If this were to turn out to be Four Donkeys, the ramifications would be hilarious: http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/science/08/27...t.ap/index.html

Should Typhoid Harry have the poison frog avatar ?

Thanks for the avatar, RK, but I really do have an affinity for the death's head frog. It suits the site better than my car. I was just trying to find a suitable interim, although I truly appreciate your effort. It just seems a bit egotistical to have my alter ego as an identifier here. Muchos gracias, and merci'! Edit: Also, thanks for the efforts, Stayin', and allow me to say that, while I'm no homophobe (live to close to San Francisco for that to be practical ) the idea of a female avatar just didn't feel comfortable, otherwise I'd have probably just gone with "Typhoid Mary" in the first place.

Should Typhoid Harry have the poison frog avatar ?

Thnks RK, that's a better shot. Car is fully retored, but not original because value (collector's consideration) is not an issue with me as I'll never sell it. I bought the Pantera 27 years ago when I was 17, it's the longest (and most successful/rewarding) relationship I've ever had. I have designed and installed custom suspension, changed out the engine to alumnum DOHC V8 (still Ford, though) and am constantly upgrading any and everything. Almost nothing other than the chassis is original. It's a Sunday/Special occasion car only, Stayin', so it does not have an alarm. It does have a GPS tracker in case of theft, however.

Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2004

Um, there's strange, and then there's bizarre... Dead Teenager Kept in Home 36 Years HANOI (Reuters) - The family of a 17-year-old Vietnamese boy who died 36 years ago kept his body in their home after a fortune teller told relatives they had buried the teenager alive by mistake. The boy's family thought he had died in 1968 of illness, but a herbal medicine man said told the father his son was still alive after the burial, the Ho Chi Minh City Police newspaper said on Tuesday. Stricken with remorse, the father dug up the body and displayed it in a glass-covered coffin, keeping it in the family home in southern An Giang until he recently confessed the macabre secret to a police news reporter. The newspaper ran a photo of the dead boy's brother posing with his arms folded next to the coffin of his sibling. The body of the boy had not decomposed, the report said.
