Biggest Misses By The Committee 2018
ThePrematureBurial replied to ebless's topic in DeathList Forum
At the risk of making myself unpopular: The Queen has probably some of the most caring doctors in the world, but Deathlist's experts block out the fact, that her father died aged 56 & her sister aged 71. -
She simply slipped on the slick stairs. It has nothing to do with impaired balance, vertigo etc.

I have to admit that I missed Givenchy too. I prepared a list of famous elderly fashion designers a couple of weeks ago, but was too lazy to post it on the "possibilities" thread. I'm also angry that I did not put Malone & Gavin on my shadow list, even though I considered them for a moment. However, you deathlisters are supposed to have a nose for celebrities who will die soon, and Bocuse & Givenchy are two very famous names that you missed.
-
Deathlist's second big miss after Bocuse. Their hit rate isn't too impressive this year.
-
He was unforgettable in the role of the British explorer Sir Richard Burton in "Search for the Nile". One of those great, unsung performances.
-
I think that Paul Bocuse was death list's biggest miss this far. Vic Damone was also quite famous in his day. Tony Bennett is now the only great crooner of the Sinatra generation left. After Dorothy Malone & John Gavin passed away, I have the idea that B-stars will be especially at risk this year. This means that Kirk, Olivia & Doris are safe. Btw: We should keep in mind, that, according to Wikipedia, most celebrities who died this year, were in their seventies & eighties. I'm certain that there will be a couple of surprises like Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Prince. It would be a mistake to concentrate solely on the centenarians.

His face is swollen. My father looked like that a few days before he died (at 94). James Baker seems to be in good form. Hard to believe that he will celebrate his 88th. birthday next month.

Valentin Falin, Soviet diplomat during the Gorbachev years, died yesterday. I couldn't find a British obituary, but he was very famous in Germany during the 1990ies. http://www.epochtimes.de/politik/welt/willy-wimmer-zum-tod-des-beruehmten-sowjetischen-diplomaten-und-politikers-valentin-falin-a2356489.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentin_Falin

Violent racists: British people who are paying contributions for a drug they're not eligible to get? Incredible, how quickly people play the race card.
-
She was only eligible for a targeted drug thanks to her Chinese heritage on her mother's side?

I guessed it. The plan to send him to Egypt worked marvelously for his family. They were unable to cope with this difficult patient. https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/6479-hospitalised/?do=findComment&comment=342072 -
I don't know whether this has been posted before, but Catherine Deneuve's mother, Renee Simonot, is still alive. She was born in 1911, and is, according to Wikipedia, the oldest French actress alive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renée_Simonot

Have you ever wondered what a necrophiliac looks like? This guy, who worked in a morgue, was forced to resign, after it was discovered that he had sex with a murdered reality star. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5358437/Morgue-man-fired-sex-dead-Big-Brother-entrant.html -

Doctors must have declared Liam Neeson fit for work, or he wouldn't be filming nonstop. And yet something is wrong with his health... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5344173/Liam-Neeson-attends-New-York-Rangers-hockey-game.html

Last week the former secretary of state appeared in public. He seemed to be mentally fit, but I hope (for him) that he made a living will. I suspect that they'll keep him artificiallly alive, like Ariel Sharon, if he falls into a coma after a stroke or a heart attack.

I'm not certain whether Angie Dickinson is really as fit as the Daily Mail claims, but she is still able to bend down. Not every eighty-six year old can. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5332325/Hollywood-icon-Angie-Dickinson-86-seen-outside-LA-home.html

Denmark's prince Henrik admitted to hospital: https://www.thelocal.dk/20180129/denmarks-prince-henrik-admitted-to-hospital According to rumours he suffers from dementia. He seems to be a difficult patient & I suspect that his family felt relieved when he went to a vacation in Egypt early this year. They may have hoped that the change of climate would hasten his death... http://allafrica.com/stories/201801050754.html
