Political Discussions And Ranting Thread

"Two Tory MPs have also been accused of proposing a threesome to a minister’s girlfriend, which she refused." What the actual f*** is going on at this point?? -
I might be in the minority, but I still think he will die at 99. Can't really explain it but then again, there have been so many examples in recent years where "they've made it this far, surely they can last another year?" only to die before making the ton (Zsa Zsa, Billy Graham, Prince Philip, Betty White etc.) - and at that age it sure can go fast.

Is it just me or does he sound somewhat out of breath?

Whoops, honestly didn't know! Phillips has been hanging on for so long he probably has a philosopher's stone somewhere a la Nicholas Flamel, while Smith and Glover show no signs of detoriation but then, so did Dumbledore right before his health went down quite literally

Keep trying to vote for Frank Field only to remember he wasn't selected. So... Ding dong death!

Congrats @Philip , the only one picking Estelle without also picking the complete field of candidates like the other 3!

People I Was Surprised To Find Are Still Alive

Have been some health rumours about him in recent years but nothing substantial. Can't remember the last time I've seen him on tv and while that's a good thing music-wise, it could be something age or health related. -
Weatherman Piet Paulusma (65) has passed away from cancer today. Began reporting the weather on regional Frisian tv in 1985 and nationally since 1996 until his death. He always closed his reports with the Frisian saying oant moarn! Meaning as much as "see you tomorrow", and becoming his trademark. While it was reported he was hospitalised a couple of years ago, no news regarding his health had been disclosed publicly and as such his death has come as a shock to many. He was certainly one of the most well known weathermen of the country, and generally well liked (I would call this the most notable Dutch death of 2022 so far).

Got today's Wordle in a rare 3 guesses - fewest since I started about two weeks ago -
Submitted a somewhat outlandish team just in case a miracle happens, which probably contributed to some of my selections

Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Totally agree. Finally found the time to watch it last friday with the GF and have been listening to the soundtrack every day since. Most animated movies we watch together are okay, some quite good, but this one really resonated with me. Heard beforehand how "We don't talk about Bruno" had become quite the hype, I'd say every song was great and really helped the plot move forward. -
Did not know him or his work but that's really no way to die wouldn't wish that happening to anyone
-
Thanks @MariNisia & good luck as well!
