Seen Any Good Films Lately?
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Totally agree. Finally found the time to watch it last friday with the GF and have been listening to the soundtrack every day since. Most animated movies we watch together are okay, some quite good, but this one really resonated with me. Heard beforehand how "We don't talk about Bruno" had become quite the hype, I'd say every song was great and really helped the plot move forward. -
Did not know him or his work but that's really no way to die wouldn't wish that happening to anyone

Thanks @MariNisia & good luck as well!

So does he look young for -almost 91- as well?
-
Alas, this one's even worse! Gordon Heuckeroth, mostly just known as "Gordon" over here (I'm from the Netherlands). He's a 53 year old former singer, reality personality and probably his own biggest fan. Just one of those "punch 'em in the face"-people over here
-
Bingo! Released in 1988 and follow up to "Englishman in New York". Don't know a whole lot about him personally so won't be able to make my judgement on the cunt-part. Though in my country there's a celebrity called Gordon who's certainly a cunt, so perhaps something to do with that name?
-
An additional clue; the italics part has something to do with the song's title. Also the single it is a follow up to, could be described as being about "an extraterrestrial in a certain location somewhere around the world".
-
Some good guesses already! No correct answers yet however; you're both not that far off era-wise, only we're looking for a song released in a leap year (I express extreme confidence in my reliable source, Wikipedia )
-
This is a song released by a world famous artist as a single, in a leap year in which a royal birth took place. It (the song, not the baby) has been released in multiple languages in its first year after debut. While it hasn't gotten the same level of fame as its predecessor and both never reached #1 in the UK Singles Chart, it is quite well known. Whereas forementioned previous single was quite a cheerful song, the single in question could be described as being a song about a delicate subject. - no idea how hard this is gonna be, feels like I've made this inaugural riddle too easy but guess only time (or one of the many other posters) will tell!
-
Thanks @gcreptile ! Alright, gonna try and come up with a good one Usually relatively good at this in my native tongue so I should be able to post one today!
-
Reading the clue about the artist's name I remembered hearing about this one lately. After some quick googling for the song's title, it has to be All Too Well (2021), 10-minute version of Taylor Swift's 2012 song. Part of re-recording of her repertoire after falling out with Scooter Brown, former manager. New versions of her old songs won't list him and consequently won't earn him any income.

Alright count me in! Aiming for a personal record round 3 this time (which will probably mean I'm toast - not that one - in the first round

I'll go with Evelyn Witkin.

I'm not sure if we're thinking of the same person but I always thought him to be Finnish?

Dutch political correspondent Ron Fresen (62) is terminally ill. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer 15 years ago, recovered, but the cancer returned in november 2018. He has been working with NOS (Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) since 2004 and will leave them in may 2022, he announced this morning. Among things he wants to do is spend time with his grandson for as long as he can. While not a news anchor, he is a well known figure in the news as political correspondent for the last eight years. Really hope he can last a while, he always came across a great guy, informative & funny. https://www.nu.nl/media/6163504/politiek-duider-ron-fresen-62-is-ongeneeslijk-ziek.html
