Pink Floyds most overrated song being their most succesful in the charts is and will always be a disgrace. It's not an outright bad song, but I won't stick my neck out for it like I would've for Time, Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pts. 1-5, Wish You Were Here etc. -
The last part about eating chocolate reminded me of the late Gabrielle des Robert. The French secret for longevity is chocolate!

Who did they cremate at the ceremony the day before? Oh dear, starting to worry for Zhu Rongji

Thought me entering the top 10 would be a very shortlived adventure as I had Doddie at no. 19, but a short look at the stats shows more than half the field selected him. Think I might even stay in 10th place for now!

Ah, the "Jimmy and Rosalynn look like munchkins compared to the Bidens from this angle" perspective strikes again!

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
And I'm out. Had a Sinterklaas-party with my in-laws (could you call it that? Girlfriends family) yesterday evening, and the consensus happened to be "since there are virtually no Sinterklaas-songs tolerable for sane adults, let's play a christmas-playlist instead". About halfway through dinner, not a cloud in sight. Well, I'd probably heard up to five Bublé versions of classics at that point, which must be four too many at least, but not a single sound of our infamous English pop duo. Then it all went down suddenly. As I went for a second round of meat with some salad and baguette, I heard the vaguest beginnings of a song, which I suddenly realised turned out to be the all too well known song by George and Andrew. I silently accepted my defeat. Oh well. Had a fun evening anyway! And for whom the above seemed way too over the top and dramatic, just wait till you hear Wham! once released a christmas song -

Was caught off guard in a bookstore this evening by some sudden christmas tunes, luckily it turned out to be Chris Rea. -

That's actually quite great! Works much better than I expected. -
Really shocked about her death. As others before me have written, she had such an enormous influence over the succes of Fleetwood Mac, both in songwriting and her vocals. Had you asked me to predict who would be the last one standing of the main line up, I'd have said Christine without a second thought only this afternoon. Really the end of an era, could see Buckingham and another one of the classic line up go in the next couple of years. But for now, I'll just honour this wonderful musician, songwriter and human being. RIP Christine
-
Fucks sake... Never would've guessed Christine would be the first of my list to go. Not a great start to the game for me. But I'll keep my Dreams of winning this pool alive, her death isn't The Chain by which I'll plummet to the depths of the ranking. Now I'll stop with the puns, I'm just sad about her being gone so sudden.

Deathlist Dreaming
ThereWillBeDeaths7 replied to harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Yeah, we DL'ers are weird ... On that note, I believe one of my most accurate dream/death predictions was Bush 41. About two / three weeks before it happened I dreamt about how the push notification of the Dutch NOS would look for his death.
